I'll add on to the 1992 borderless design. Still trying to get the Super Clark.

** I think the most amazing thing out of all of this is that Kurt Stillwell had a Diamond King

I hate to admit, but I've never seen the 1984 design. I actually like it.

I also love the 92/93 design, as that's the set I tried to collect as a kid. The 94 design was different for sure, but I still like it.

I have always been a fan of the 1987 issue. I actually just picked up a 1987 DK Blank Back of Kirby Puckett for my pc.

Still love the "original" '82 design, as it started it all. One of my favorite cards:

1982 and 1984 are my personal favorites. I like how 84 sets itself apart from the other years.

I really like the artwork of the '91 set. I wonder how they'd look with the green series 2 borders? Or the '88s with the orange borders of the 88 Donruss Best set. Or the 1990 set with the blue borders of the 1990 Donruss Best sets. Maybe someone with Photoshop and ton of time could indulge me lol.

OK I had some free time so I figured I'd indulge myself. I only have Paint so they look pretty crappy, but here's what I concocted lol.

Brings back great memories. I started collecting in 1987 but could only purchase Topps as they were $.50 per pack. Donruss and Fleer were way out of my budget back then. I remember in 1988, 1986 Donruss packs sold for big money because of Canseco. Even a higher premium since I grew up in the East Bay (Bay Area). My favorite Diamond Kings set has to be 1989 since I had stacks of that particular set.

1992 was the first with gold foil and the first where they were an "insert," so they hold a special place in my heart. It also was the first time (and mostly only time) I ever pack-searched because if you got one Diamond King in a box, the other three would be on the same "level" in the box. So I'd like to belatedly apologize to my brother for my "luck" when we would split a box.

For design, I like the 84 the best. In my PC, these have to be my favorite(s).

Anybody else have the super size of their guy? (autographed or not)

Of course!

Figured I'd throw the recollection collection auto in for good measure :)

My favs were 82-83 and 02 Black border/gold foil(stand alone larger set) . I remember making tons of custom 82-83s at my dads work when I was 11 or so. Actually got alot of them autod also, need to dig those out and showem off.
