the Regular Season has come to an end and now the best part of the season is about to begin...

THE PLAYOFFS

What is "The Hockey Talk Thread" and why do we need it if we have a Hockey Forum?

Consider THTT much like the morning thread on the Baseball boards or the daily thread on the Football boards. It is a thread for us Hockey members to talk about anything Hockey that is on our minds that might not need a separate thread of its own. Usually we have most of our game day talk in this thread. Talk about a player having a big game, or a minor trade or signing or maybe even some hobby news that you want to share.

Really this thread can be used to talk about anything that is on your mind, even stuff that isn't Hockey related but you wanted to share with the other FCB Hockey members.

Yahoo ranked the 8 1st round Playoff Series.

Something else I wanted to add. I saw the playoff tv schedule, and I must say bravo to NBC. They have really stepped up their game this year. Lots more games on tv during the week this year. Now, they have a second channel (CNBC) showing playoff games. This is awesome. I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to watch all the Blackhawks - Coyotes games because of only one channel showing game during the week.

I am very happy NBC has decided to use CNBC to air games as well.

if for any reason you guys don't get one of the games or don't have access to a tv you can watch games on this website...

I have watched Penguins game on this site all season if they played while I was at work.

Can't wait to see if Nashville can join the elite teams or will stay a pretender. Lot's of great series to follow that's for sure!

Yeah, gotta agree with Praising CC/NBC for the increased coverage.

I know it sounds nuts, but I can see 6 of the First Round series being won by the Underdog, with all 4 Eastern Match-ups being possible upsets...

I don't. I really want a Vancouver / Chicago 2nd Round matchup. Last year's series was so intense. I really want my Hawks to be the ones to knock them out again for the 3rd time in 4 years. They are my most hated team, and playing them just gets me really fired up.

It must be nice to have that kind of faith in your team come playoff time. I would love to see the Caps knock out the Penguins, but to be honest im scared to play them in the playoffs(what is it they have won 7 of 8 ::facepalm:: ). Ah the joys of being a Caps fan

HOCKEY CANADA NAMES FIRST-EVER ORDER OF HOCKEY HONOUREES

Jean Beliveau, Wayne Gretzky, Gordie Howe, Cassie Campbell-Pascall and Gord Renwick were unveiled Tuesday as the inaugural class in Hockey Canada's new initiative to recognize individuals who have had an "extraordinary" impact on the sport in the country.

An official ceremony is scheduled for June 25 at Air Canada Centre, where the inductees will receive a ring and lapel pin to commemorate the achievement. Eventually, they'll be recognized in a museum at Hockey Canada's headquarters in Calgary.

Bad news Pens fans. Melrose took them to win the East...

In case you didn't see it, Grossman and Briere are both expected to play in Game 1 tomorrow.

Briere in the Playoffs is scary Good... :D
