They showed the trainer picking up bits of teeth off the ice. Not pretty.

I don't know when the high sticking penalty changed but that used to be a penalty, you are supposed to keep control of your stick at all times, accident or not. It wasn't called last year either, did I miss something?

One of the oddest players to get a "Gordie Hat trick", got one on Friday night.



Pavel Datsyuk, the 4 time Lady Byng winner for his sportsmanship and gentlemanly play, got a goal, an assist and got in a fight, all in one game. Datsyuk never fights, heck he usually only gets 16-20 PIMs per season. His 5 minute major in one game gave him as many PIMs that he usually averages in 20-30 games

I thought he stood his ground pretty damn good, considering he fought Corey Perry, who has a 5" height and 35 pound weight advantage on Datsyuk.
