the Penguins beat the Devils 3-1 :D

the Devils fans were booing Paul Martin every time he touched the puck but he silenced them by scoring the empty netter to seal the victory.

next up are the Maple Leafs on Wednesday night. I will be there.

Should be a good game. Toronto is 2-0-0 so far, which is almost unheard of for that team.

Chicago finally got a W tonight, but it looked rough early. Corey Crawford gave up 2 goals not even 5 minutes into the game.

yeah it should be a great game and I am looking forward to seeing Colby Armstrong.

even though Crawford gave up 2 quick goals at least he held it together throughout the game unlike Turco.

Just got back from the Canucks and Panthers game. Canucks won 2-1. Daniel Sedin had 2 goals both assisted by his brother...of course. Luongo made 41 saves and looked great. So far both Sedins have been in on all of the Canucks goals this year.

Jordan Staal skated for the first time since he had offseason surgery to a lacerated tendon. according to Staal he hopes to return to the Penguins lineup sometime in November.

That's good news about Staal, hopefully he doesn't have any more setbacks.

I agree Tim it is good to see him back on the ice. he still has a lot of work ahead of him and hopefully there are no more setbacks.

So it looks like both Godard and DJ King will get in the line ups tonight.
Excited to see Orr and Godard renew the rivalry they got going. King and Gillies should be a lock as well and I'm sure Konopka will be running around against the Caps mixing it up. BB better give DJ some ice time when Gillies is out on ice for NYI.

Toronto is up 3-2 on the Pens about halfway through 2nd Period. Colton Orr and Derek Engelland just had an awesome fight. I will edit this post later when video becomes available.

EDIT: Here ya go.

Yeah Engelland with MAJOR upset to KO Orr. That was a fantastic right, right in the kisser. Orr was just crushing him early and left himself wide open and he paid. That guy has to stick in Pittsburgh. A huge feather in his cap. But Colton will come calling again on him, can't wait for rematch. Orr is a warrior, he will be back. I just hope he comes out guns a blazing with Rangers in the Garden. Boogaard is waiting. That should be a great bout.

King and Gillies had a nice fight. Gillies with win in that one.

I was lucky and got to watch the Colton Orr fight at work last night live, just so happened i walked into the Lunch room to check on the score in the Pens/Leafs game and they had just dropped their gloves.

We have pretty good satellite at work and usually can get a few different games every night (which is a total bonus when your bored or slow at work ;) ), although last nights game was on TSN.

I was worried when I saw that it was Engelland vs Orr but Engelland definitely took care of business.
