I knew there was some auto'd vintage on these boards, but I had no idea how much. Love it!

Damn the shiny chrome, bring on more faded cardboard!

Darren's '54s remind me of Talmer's autographed '54 set. I don't think I've seen him update that thing in quite a while. I'm gonna have to find that thread and bump it up. Anyone seen him around?

Since 2010 I have begun to enjoy Bowman, but I don't get all worked up over it (buying box after box, case after case).

But, after getting one of these....man they are nice.

I am pretty sure he has been real busy with work. I think he is down to 6 left...

I LOVE old cards, but I just can't get into 40's and 50's bowman releases- I feel the designs are just too plain.

What is it that you guys like about these cards, ie, what makes them standout from other contemporary Topps issues or compared to pre-war stuff?

I think that's part of what I like about these, and vintage overall is the simplicity of the cards, nothing flashy or fancy.

That and I just like old/vintage/antique stuff anyway and my love of the history of baseball and it's old timers coupled with that just makes it obvious for me.
