I still love the game, and just root for certain players, and root against others. Here are my favorites to watch, and my least favorite players/teams:
Favs:
LeBron James
Derrick Rose
Rajon Rondo
Kevin Garnett
Vince Carter
Tim Duncan
Deron Williams
Chris Paul
Love to Hate:
Derek Fisher
Kobe Bryant
Kevin Durant
NY Knicks
Pat Riley
Doug Collins
Detroit Pistons
Cleveland Cavs
Toronto Raptors (Basketball should not be in Canada)
How can you hate someone like Fisher? He is one of the greatest role players of all time and he has a number of rings. he is a great team player and has overcome his baby daughtar almost dieing a few years ago.
And what has Durant done?
This is the only player on his love to hate list I do not understand.
I mean, seriously, the soft spoken superstar who wants to play for the team who drafted him, isn't worried about stats, is constantly working on his game to improve himself, not a prima donna, well spoken, good with the fans and media, charitable and a hard worker.
If Kobe was that way, I know I wouldn't hate him then.
First, it is easy to hate fisher! He is the dirtiest player I'm the nba. He pushes, hacks, and puts both hands on the huh Brian guarding all of the.time. the second a foul Is called, he just gives that blank stare with his hands out like he has no idea what they called it on. Not to mention he may be the slowest point in the league. The lakers barely one the last 2 because of him. If they didn't have someone as good as kobe to guard the quicker. Pgs, they would have post to Aaron brooks and the rockets 2 years ago, and Russell. Westbrook and the thunder this year. Fisher kills that team.
And I find it very funny that you say durant is not a #s guy!? The guy throws up more shots than mickey mantle on a Friday night! He has to hit the gym too! My god, get a muscle at least! He can't guard anyone cause he can be backed down so easily.
1 name I left off of my list of guys I. Like is Jason kidd.
When you shoot 47% from the field, throwing up all of those shots isn't that bad (especially when the team WANTS you taking those shots). Not to mention the fact that he did average a steal and a block per game, was 2nd in the league in Defensive Win Shares, All NBA First Team, 2nd in Total Win Shares, 3rd in Player Efficiency Rating and, oh, the youngest scoring champ of all time.
Plus, he led his team to the playoffs (the youngest team in the league, mind you) and damn near upset the Lakers in 7 games.
As for Fisher, I have hated him ever since the playoff game against the Spurs that he hit that crazy turn around jumper to win it. Being a Texas guy, whoever is left once the Mavs are out of the playoffs are my fall back team, so it broke me when he hit that shot.[/quote:40yb9h5s]
Those stats mean nothing! and they almost beat the Lakers because Westbrook was KILLING Fisher! Durant did not shine in the playoffs. And you can throw all the winshares you want out there, but Durant is to thin to play solid one on one defense. Tayshaun Prince could post him up. Shawn Bradley thinks he needs to eat more.
