After his parents found out their son was trying to pull a fast one....

"Mom, Dad, Im telling the truth, they are wrong, these cards ARE real"

"Yeah I know KMoser111 is my screen name and thats also MY name as well as my favorite lucky number but ebay lets two different people share a screen name and whoever shares mine bought these cards"

"Oh, so why and how did I get them? Well, I got a package in the mail with my name on it and these cards were inside."

"Mom, Dad...whould I lie to you?"

"Oh, well I DID tell the barber to just trim it but, he was, well, high on barbersol and went nuts"

"Oh thats right, so how did it come out perfectly like a Mohawk eventhough you told me to let it down for the taping? Uh well when I woke up thats how it was...I think my sister put gel in my hair when I sleeping"

I'm wondering if he purchased them thinking they might be real despite the auction listing.

Why was this even a story, and how do the "Treasure Hunters" not have someone on staff who could've immediately recognized those as reprints?

Yeah, the "Treasure Hunters" probably aren't going to be around too much longer now that their incompetence has been plastered all over the net.

I agree, It doesn't really explain how he got them either. I think they are fake.

Follow the links in the previous posts. The mowhawk kid KNOWLINGLY bought reprints off eBay and then tried to scam the "Treasure Hunters"

I sure hope not. They need to make some changes to their staff if they do, because that was sad...

This is an interesting auction

Username is Kmoser, (like the kid from this story), in Tempe, Arizona (where the kid was from).

Could this kid possibly being selling his "rare" cards now that he knows they aren't real?

Hmmmmmmm......

I can't stop laughing at this part of the description:

"PLEASE BID WITH THE INTENT OF BIDDING."

If it wasn't Christmas Eve, I could probably say this made my day.

EDIT: RAWR you beat me.

And now I see the Wagner card listed. That is just amazing. Like adding a k to the end of this ebay ID will throw us off. Hmm... I think that is a real card from a completely different person. What a tool. ::facepalm::

Those are the last 30 days of ebay wins by kmoser111.
