good morning - was watching house hunters last night - my city was featured. It was kind of amusing considering how crazy the housing market is here.
Anything good shown?

their budget was $650,000 - all they could afford were townhouses. They did show all my favorite eating places though, which was cool.
What the hell city has townhomes for $650K.????

Mountain View, California - it's because of the Googlers, Linkedin's, and Facebookers in the area.

Cool, we're staying in Surprise because my friend has a house there. It's free, so I'm not complaining!

ahh - welcome to my life. you can't buy a house for less than $800k around here, and that's usually around 1,000 feet for the house. It's scary that some of the townhouses are bigger. ;)

And they wonder why it is so expensive in CA and why the foreclosure rate is so high. Gas prices are high and even the people who buy houses at that price are high. ::facepalm::

Lisa, that's crazy!!!

I've seen most of the spring training stadiums. I'm partial to Peoria but Marysvale is a great ballpark for being municipal.
I liked the old field in Tucson (where the Rockies used to play)

I'm pretty sure we have tickets for Thursday Cubs vs Rockies. We haven't got any other tickets as far I as know right now. We have a group of about 6 people. Some are staying with relatives, but a few of us are staying at this place. I didn't make the reservation. Looks like a 2-3 star hotel. Hope it isn't a fleabag place. I have never been to Arizona either.

Richard, I had to edit, reading is a skill, especially when I have my NEW GLASSES to see through.

Yes, I'll be in Scottsdale next Wednsday. Going to see the Cubs, Rockies, DBacks, Giants. Walking distance to most entertainment venues, even might get lucky.

My buddy here in the UP is the designated driver, he doesn't drink alcohol. Car rented for the week.

Funny - I'm going to Phoenix next Friday night - going to two games on Saturday and a game on Sunday!
MT spring training outing in AZ? I would love to meet up again this year. Had a great conversation with you in Chicago.

If I wasn't low on expendible funds I would meet up with you all at a game. If you will be here passed NEXT friday the 16th. the BBQ could be at my house!

Thanks for the invite! I definitely will be in touch!

Lisu, how tough will it be to get tickets on Friday for the Cubs-Giants? I've been told that Cub games are sold out.

There's usually a few scalpers. I also think if you show up at the stadium, they sometimes have some tickets. I would look on Stubhub.

Cubs fans travel well. They packed the park against the M's in Peoria.

Maybe because a Spring Training Championship is all they have to look forward to?????

Someone said G.I.Joe?

I happen to own the original artwork to the little figure you see in upper left corner of the cover for the first 100 G.I.Joe comics (started in 1982)...
