It's been a few years for me. I wanted to go last summer but the state government shut down and I wasn't able to buy a license for most of the summer.

We have great trout fishing here also. The Iron River is just about in my back yard. Season opens April 30th.

It wasn't really. The goal was to stay warm with alcohol. They weren't my lines.

I do not partake in alcohol beverages while fishing. Afterward, that's another subject.

Years ago, when smelt was plentiful in Lake Michigan, we used dip nets to catch smelt. If we got a net full, each one of us had to bite the head off the fish, and take a shot of Schnapps. The smelt where in the spawning mood also. :shock:

I dont think I've been fishing 5x in my life. Just dont have any interest in it, or any patience for it. Same with hunting. Much rather swing a club or a bat
