I was just searching eBay and I found a ton of cards up for sale that I sold about a month ago.

That was weird.
A card I sold last year sold about a month ago for $10 more...crappy feeling...

Good Morning on a cold and rainy Monday!!! Hope you all have a good start to the week. It's my "Sunday" so I hope to simply relax and do nothing away from the house  8-)

What did you expect man, you live in the PNW???? LOL

   No complaints, just the norm as you said. I'll take cold and rain any day over wind and/or snow. Hows it going man?

Paul - Sorry to hear you saw THE reminder of your wreck. I also can't believe it has been 2 years but it's GREAT to see how far you have come along and all healing wise and life wise :grouphug: 8-)

Charlie - No apologies for being you and speaking your opinions...it is Freedom Card Board (at least I think it still is :? )

I'm also sorry for messing up your beautiful thread, Richard.

Can George or another mod not delete those filthy posts?

Paul- Sorry to hear it, brother. A reminder is not pleasant. Hope your day gets better.

Richard- Thank you for running the NCAA contest again, even if you always give me a **** team. ;) Just kidding. I can't wait for the tournament to start. Beginning Thursday afternoon, you guys won't see much of me. (I hear loud applause, a standing ovation even.)

Congrats on your luck lately Russ! Very cool!

Is this the owner of the LCS or a customer holding the prez cards??
Thanks!

I'm guessing it was the customer.
If it was me, NO WAY IN HELL anyone else would be holding MY cards and taking photos with them.

Thinking that walmart cares about anything other than bottom line is laughable. Why are the value boxes 11 at some stores and 15 at others???? To make money.
Topps cares about what chain retailers their stuff gets into. They push retail to the detriment of hobby shops and collectors. Busy cramming hobby packs in value boxes.
I talked to Darren, owner of one of the largest hobby stores in Calgary, he said that the way panini topps and UD are going more into retailers in Canada is hurting his business (we've only had retail blasters for 5 years or so, mainly hockey, some football and baseball now)

On a positive note I was able to bench 205 3 times on my third set.. First time Ive attempted let alone pushed up 200lbs or more. thats my bodyweight currently so I've achieved that goal as well so now to be able to do it and more for sets. My strength is coming along nicely..strongest Ive ever been in my whole life!

They need to go more into retail because hobby shops are a decreasing area of the market. it makes sense that they are putting some hits in these but I have to admit I'm surprized that so many monsters have been pulled so far. For those that pre order cases of hobby this has to be some seriously sour grapes.

I just watched the Shakopee SNL skit (because it's a big deal here).

It was pretty funny (and true). The only things that confused me was that they think we are Timberwolves and Vikings fans ::facepalm::

Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
;)
I agree that shops are declining, but the push to the large chain stores and lack if good hobby products are going to kill the brick and mortar operators for good.

Just my opinion ;)
