Topps cares about what chain retailers their stuff gets into. They push retail to the detriment of hobby shops and collectors. Busy cramming hobby packs in value boxes.
I talked to Darren, owner of one of the largest hobby stores in Calgary, he said that the way panini topps and UD are going more into retailers in Canada is hurting his business (we've only had retail blasters for 5 years or so, mainly hockey, some football and baseball now)

They need to go more into retail because hobby shops are a decreasing area of the market. it makes sense that they are putting some hits in these but I have to admit I'm surprized that so many monsters have been pulled so far. For those that pre order cases of hobby this has to be some seriously sour grapes.
