Good evening.

Just got a call from my mom to find out that both my uncle (complications from surgery) and grandfather (small stroke) are in the hospital. They're both stable and doing fine so hopefully they continue to recover.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A stuntman is being treated for serious burns after an explosion during a film shoot in the Elysian Park Area.

Fire officials say the blast occurred on Friday during filming for a Mountain Dew commercial.

The 28-year-old man is said to be in critical condition with injuries to his face, chest and arm.

An investigator said the stuntman may have been working with black powder when it exploded.

I think a big reason many of us are up early is that we have toddlers and/or school age kids.

I'll be 34 later this year, around the same time as Dan and Joe.

I was just thinking about safari photocards I had back in the 80s... Any of you remember those colored-top-labeled photocards? They had little maps in the corner telling you where this animal can be found. You get a new pack of photocards every month or two. There was an open-top storage box with classification dividers... Blah, blah... Ring any bells?
