Ty Cobb had a pretty good Biography of him written. I was really young when I was reading it so I never finished it (it was longer and a little complex for me back then) but I would love to give it another shot.

I don't really know if the book was filled with racism, but I remember that parts were pretty heated.

Agreed. There are big golf collectors. Also agree with the pictures needing some variety but its not too bad.

Brad, thanks for the suggestions! Yeah, I was talking about books. I'll check out yours and all recommended books. And Tyler's Cobb mention as well.

I just bought two nonsport boxes off eBay. A gamble. Trying to put together an evilly hard subset of 30 gold inserts (#ed to 100). Only found 18 out of 30 since its release in 2001. :shock: Nonsport is tougher than baseball when it comes to completing #ed insert sets...

Might have thought about that if all of my money didn't go to getting the car fixed. :lol: Seriously, that's a great way to look at it. I was pissed yesterday, but today I'm fine. Sometimes you have to get things fixed on your car. That's just a part of life.

Ever had a card that was harder to find unautographed than autographed? I know these 1979 Jack Wallin's Diamond Greats cards were basically made for TTMers and to be signed at shows. But didn't think it would take me 2 years to find an unsigned single. All the ones that came up for sale had been signed. Just kind of odd.

I have had that too. There is a Mike Kingery card that he had produced for autographing and I own an autographed copy, but
I can't find an unauto'd copy.
