Just got my conditional offer of employment from the big car builder down the street!!

So your going to work at Chrysler, so what are you going to be doing?

Not sure yet.

All I know is it is 90 days as a contractor before you join UAW.

I do in the Fantasy Baseball League, how come I can't set my team today. Is today MONDAY? And does the WEAKLY league only let us change our teams on MONDAY? But yet today is the day, and I can't :benson:[/quote:2mgbd8vv]

you go click on the my team tab and then and up near the top where it says roster you will see the Edit Weekly Team.
click on that and then it will add the edit between the Pos nad batters on your team and then you can change who you want to change. The only thing is you have to do this everytime you come back to your team before all the games are played.

The recycling center loves me. I took 2 huge loads over and I will be doing a smaller one later in the afternoon.

The only thing I don't recycle are aluminum cans. Those I hoard.

Seems this guys does too.

:lol: :lol: Supplemental work and if you don't fly they can dump you real quick then. Oh well good luck hope you can make the 90 days and get some good job and make so good money. Oh wait it is chrysler and the UAW so there is a 2 tier wage system. Well the good job is correct then :lol:

I was told that Iowa pays $.05 a can... that's over double what I get. I probably have 20-30 bucks worth though and I plan to get more before sending them over.

Yup, I have a cousin and a friend working there now.

What I was told is that they overhire, and then weed out the losers/idiots/lazies, and hire the good people on permanently.

They are also converting to a 4-day work week in July, which is nice.

They do, but they're marked on the top with an Iowa deposit notice. When we've dumped cans back home, the people would actually go through each one to make sure they didn't get any Minnesota cans.

A couple of guys I knew when I went to school down in La Crosse would save all the cans from their cases of beer and when they had enough, would go to the local center and trade them in and buy a keg or two with the money they got for them. Now THAT is recycling.

Any of us that brought cans over the day they were turning them in got free beer all night when they got the kegs.

Yeah I was told that too... No way I am driving to Iowa to dump cans though

Scott: I have never dumped this many cans before. Usually when we go on a scrap, I round up a wal-mart bag full and I get ~$1 for it. I usually get laughed at by the people at the metal recycling company because I have so little :lol:

It's the Twins home opener and the 2002 Twins reunion. They brought out who they could from the 2002 team and had them toss the first pitch. Since they were playing the Angels, LaTroy Hawkins and Torii Hunter got to come out too.

2002 was also the first year that I went to a professional baseball game... Twins vs. Rangers in the good ole' Metrodome.
