Going to Hunger Games today

Earth day weekend for me. The family is helping plant 500 oak tree saplings at a local forest preserve with Cub Scouts, and we're planting a few bleeding heart bushes alongside the house. Going to start refinishing my porch too.

I know I'm nuts, but I spent the morning putting together a spreadsheet of every team Don Zimmer has been paid to play for, manage, or coach. Did this as a reference to help me find him in some more obscure issues like team cards. Doing it, I'm just kind of blown away at the number of cities/states/countries he's played in and what an incredible baseball life he's lived. 64 consecutive seasons in uniform for 27 different organizations - crazy!

I pretty much collect just errors/defects, T-Hunts, and any car I find kinda cool or unique, but I am an El Camino fan. I love those things.

No thank you. We only do it because of our friend - to have other people do it for us (although very kind) it wouldnt be the same thing.

Well, I just went and filled out all my paperwork at Chrysler.

My orientation is not until May 11th however, so I'll have to stick it out in Glenview for at least another month...ugh

Hang in there Charlie. The job at Chrysler is no picnic either, I worked on the assembly line at American Motors in the '70's before I recieved my apprenticiship. It was hard work!
