Wifes best friend coming by today, my parents coming by on saturday...hope to get more sorting done over the weekend...

You've had a ton of visitors bud. You do know, just because they come doesn't mean you have to let them in. ;)

I know that, but when the avg trip for them is a 90 minute drive, it makes it a tad more difficult. Looks like Sunday might be day #4 in the month that he has been here that we will NOT have company...

Wide, pull me something good![/quote]

you mean like french toast, and a steak omelet?

 Either of those sound pretty good to me. Although if I pulled french toast out of one of these tins, then I'll know I'm in the Card Collector's Twighlight Zone. 8-)

Good morning gentlemen. Its a rather unsettled morning here in the Lanning household. My wife woke me up so I could get her breakfast from the local dive at 6:45 and it kinda ticked me off seeing as how I didn't get home until 11:15 last night.

As for the mornings weather, its brought to you by our good friends at Albatross Coffee, "Coffee so good it will make your mornings fly".

Right now outside, temperatures are hovering near 50 degrees with partly to mostly cloudy skies with a South/Southeasterly wind which is light and variable. As the day progresses, temps are expected to reach near 70 with mostly cloudy skies. The cloud deck will thicken this afternoon as a vigorous cold front approaches from the west and it will bring us a good chance of rain showers this evening followed by a more steady light rain overnight tonight. Overnight lows should fall only into the low 50's with an 80% chance of rain.

Tomorrow should be another washout followed by more rain on Sunday and we are currently watching a developing system that might give us another chance of snowfall by Monday or Tuesday. I'll give you more details coming up with my Advanced 5 Day Forecast.

Good morning gents.
This is more like it - getting in middle of the thread....

No weekend plans here. Hope all yours work out for you.

Time to go make a word bank for a quiz...

Word Bank for a Math quiz??? That sounds evil

No, for a social studies quiz.
Thanks to budget cuts a couple of years ago, added to the fact that there are no high-stakes tests for SS in Mass, my team lost the social studies teacher, and the three of us remaining all take one class of it. So every day I have 3 math and 1 social studies.

I see, not as evil...actually quite fair for a SS class
I dont think a word bank would have ever helped even in theorem writing classes[/quote:2ooeto0y]

With some of these kids, I could give them a number bank, with the answers in order, and they'd still get a C. There is a complete lack of number sense these days - kids solve word problems that ask for a number of books, and they give me a negative number and don't think anything of it.
~ Yes, you bought (-5) books for $27.50. ~

morning brian and art...

blan - I might have to bestow upon you the title of official morning crew weather man. Not that prestigious, but I will come up with a better moniker after I see more of your work... :D

I'd give my left... nevermind... for a Derek Jeter Numbers #/2. ;)

Brian: Impressive weather report :o

Art: Maine heat wave!! :o :) Oklahoma weather is just crazy!! 77 degrees yesterday, but it won't make it past 49 today!! :? No wonder my sinuses are messed up most of the time.

Scott: 12pm your time. Hope you can make it! Very cool Teddy pickup!

Alex: Thanks bud! Congrats on your auto progress. You got a sick Felix PC going!

Nothing to be ashamed of bud, plenty of people would give their left shoe for a jeter auto. Most people depend on the right one anyway. :)
