Good morning everyone. I hope you all have a great day today.

Art- Happy birthday to your lady friend. I'm sure she will be stoked about getting a ring. That's awesome! Congratulations friend.

Rob- Have fun making the favors and at the shower.

Scott- Sorry you missed out on the Williams. :(

Not much here today. Started scanning my Dunn base/inserts yesterday. Maybe I'll get that finished over the weekend. Dunn hit HR #34 yesterday as the Nats beat the Cubs 5-4 (sorry Charlie). They play the Cards next. I hope he hits 2 or 3 more against the Cards (sorry George).

Good morning and good luck with all the scanning. I was saying just last night how I need to update my non-DK scans.

Dan-- Good to hear.
Dave-- Indeed, a man's night is always great :D Plus, even though he is only 19 months old, he knows and recognizes baseball. He always cheers for hits, especially home runs. He surprisingly knows a lot about sports I guess you could say. He recognizes when I shot goes in during golf, a touchdown in football, runs scoring in baseball and strike outs. He amazes me everyday with what he knows/recognizes. One of the joys of fatherhood.
Very nice. Sounds like he's on the right track ;)

Alex- no good morning for me? ;)

Josh- not a good start to the day I'll agree.

DOH!!! ::facepalm:: You caught me cheating this morning...I had copy and pasted the names you said hello to and TOTALLY forgot to include you in there  ::facepalm:: With that in mind I will save the best for last: Hello David of the Widerights ;)
It's all good my friend! (but don't let it happen again LOL!) ;)

Scott- that sucks. Nice how the title says "signed" in it. ::facepalm:: You don't think... ?

Joe- GL scanning. That there's the most time-consuming effort known to man. Actually, doing anything in Photobucket is even more time consuming.

Good morning and good luck to you too Adam. Thank you. I scanned from 99-02 last night. I'm hoping that by only doing a couple of years at a time it won't seem so bad. I still need to upload them and everything.

Hoping to have a mailday today. I have a few things incoming, so that would make for a nice Friday. My Bengals lost 24-21 last night. If they play during the season like they did last night, it's going to be a long season.

Has anyone else been watching Hard Knocks? I've asked before, thought I would ask again. Since it's the Bengals I'm probably 1 of only 5 people in the world who care.

Also I watched 2 new shows last night. I saw the premier of Marked on the History Channel. It's about tattoos and what they mean. They were doing prison tats last night. It was pretty good. Then I saw Pawn Stars. It's been running a couple of weeks, but last night was the first time I watched it. It was pretty interesting seeing the stuff that people brought in. The season finale of Royal Pains was last night too. That show's solid. I guess I should stop because Crystal and I watch a lot of shows so I could go on and on. People might find out how big of a loser I really am.

Good morning ladies...

Going to be a long Friday as I go on vacation finally.. My boss has been telling me to take one since I maxed out my time last year..(320 hours).

Since the wife is disabled, we don't go anywhere.. So I stay at home and work around the house.. probably do some winterizing as I can see the leaves already starting to turn..

Enjoy the day and Art, have a great day with the future Mrs..

Time to go suport Alex and get my Starbucks..

Have a great day!

Morning everyone.

Nothing like sitting on the love seat in the morning then like 5 minutes later wondering why your ass is wet. Damn dog pissed on the couch this morning. I have a feeling it's going to be a wonderful day. :?

Oh no! Please tell me it wasnt the cow pj's...

They are safe.

I would certainly hope so, what with a RAPTOR guarding them.

And for those who didnt make Josh's broadcast last night, he actually had the RAPTOR in the shop with him.
Are you kidding me?!? You saw it in the store with Josh? I'm shocked. Most raptors are shy and don't like to go on camera.

Did you bust some boxes Josh?

Mystery Raptor Theater!

No boxes (no cash). I did get a few packs here and there. Got 2 hits out of two packs of A&G. One was a Fielder bast card so Max will be happy when I give it to him. Might save it for Christmas for him. That was I can fell a little less guilty for spending $20 on packs last night.

Marterburn did hit a nice patch in a box of 08 UD2. He put a scan of it up in the Pack Wars thread I started last night. It's worth looking at.

Holy Crap!!! That much for a postcard?? It is stunning to say the least...now I know why my screen is wet with your tears :( Did you have any clue it would get that high Scott??

No clue......I've picked up a couple of postcards for $5-10, usually dating to the 50's/60's......this one is just gorgeous and as I mentioned I had never seen before

.....it is obviously not really signed but who knows what people think??? I search on Ted every day on EBAY and this one might be quite rare.

A_Pharis said:
Wow. That postcard is surprising. Makes you wonder why the lust for it...

I guess it's a bunch of Ted-heads that haven't seen it before.

  ...never thought of myself as a "Ted" head before......and we all know about how when he died they may have tried to preserve his actual head... :o

Aloha and good morning all. Normally I would be at work right now but I screwed up and forgot my reflective vest. Didn't realize it until I got to work(25 minutes away) and by the time I would have got home to get it I would have been sitting in traffic and be about a hour and a half late. Expensive mistake on my part. Oh well at least now I have a 3 day weekend.

To give you little history on the shows I've watched, the last show series I was really interested in was cancelled 2 seasons into it. It was Carnivale on HBO. Then I watched 1 season of Gray's Anatomy. Then 2 seasons of American Idol. And that was it, I haven't gotten into watching any series since then. Of course, when the TV time is dictated by 2 little boys that makes it more difficult.

Charlie- GOOD LUCK!!! We'll be waiting to hear the good news :D

Charlie- Good luck brother! Also, don't forget, scan or ban. ;) We want to see the new little Cubs fan when she's in the world.

Scott- Good cliche. I tend to use "It's not the first time I lost out on......"

George- Have a good day!

Here you go Dave. Here’s a rundown of what we watch during the week.

Tuesday: Hell’s Kitchen
Wednesday: Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Cincinnati Bengals
Thursday: The Smoking Gun: World’s Dumbest…., Royal Pains
Sunday: Hung, Entourage

Royal Pains season ended last night, so Marked may well take its place. In September, HBO is premiering a new show called Bored to Death. It looks funny and HBO does great shows, so I plan on checking it out. Also, the best show on TV comes back next month, The Office. I can’t wait. I am also looking forward to the new season of Heroes.

Other shows that I watch: Family Guy, NCIS, Law & Order: SVU, King of the Hill, South Park, Flight of the Conchords, Psych, and Futurama. I probably forgot a couple, but you get the idea. Comedy Central is going to start making new seasons of Futurama next year which is awesome!

Of course, my favorite and my watched programming starts soon, NFL Football!

Yes I know, I collect baseball cards, I used to collect comic books, and I watch an awful lot of TV shows. I’m a sad, sad man.
