Here you go Dave. Here’s a rundown of what we watch during the week.

Tuesday: Hell’s Kitchen
Wednesday: Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Cincinnati Bengals
Thursday: The Smoking Gun: World’s Dumbest…., Royal Pains
Sunday: Hung, Entourage

Royal Pains season ended last night, so Marked may well take its place. In September, HBO is premiering a new show called Bored to Death. It looks funny and HBO does great shows, so I plan on checking it out. Also, the best show on TV comes back next month, The Office. I can’t wait. I am also looking forward to the new season of Heroes.

Other shows that I watch: Family Guy, NCIS, Law & Order: SVU, King of the Hill, South Park, Flight of the Conchords, Psych, and Futurama. I probably forgot a couple, but you get the idea. Comedy Central is going to start making new seasons of Futurama next year which is awesome!

Of course, my favorite and my watched programming starts soon, NFL Football!

Not sad at all, my man! If I could, I would too! Some of those shows are funny and I know I'm missing out. Someday I'll be sitting and watching the seasons when they come out on DVD

Dan- I've watched a couple Katrina docs and its hard to watch them they are so sad. What a disaster.

I dont see a time that it re-airs. It was home, we were there for it and got out in time. Moved from there afterwards and the havoc of back-forth for a few years began. Everything we were doing with school, med school rotations etc, left us with no other choice. If I remember right, over the course of one year, the wife worked in 6 different cities, none of which were back to back months...

Parents still live there though, so we go there a good bit when she doesnt have months that she is on-call.

I probably still have an MRE or two somewhere from it. Man I ate those things twice a day for a long while. Good stuff.

It was rough, thats for sure, and what people don't realize is that the city still hasnt recovered and wont do so for a few more years.

I still can't watch the Spike Lee documentary...

I bet...that is one thing Jen always reminds me about. After all the years that have gone by it is still a tough place over there. She went right before college started and spent a week there with her family. Impacted her to say the least. We plan to go there on a road trip in the next couple of years...I hear the food is still great but I bet there are larger hearts after what happened.

Anyhow back to the MT

Yeah...good idea on the above comment ;) On a lighter note...I am going to the Everett Aquasox game on Sunday. It is breast cancer awareness day and Jay Buhner is there giving out free head buzzes. I MIGHT get my hair shaved off...haven't built up enough courage yet

I wasn't being serious guys. Just joking around. It was more of a stab at where we live than life.

The area we live in is pretty boring. There's not a whole lot set up for youngish couples. I mean there's some bars, but not really our scene. We have a movie theater and a Bingo Hall. No museums, zoos, or anything like that.

Dan- I somewhat feel your pain. Our area got hit by Hurricane Ivan in 2004. It was rough. It destroyed the I-10 bridges so there was no way to get to Pensacola or from Pensacola to Santa Rose County. HWY 90 (a major road here) was washed out. It was bad. There was so much destruction, so many without, and the loss of life. That was September 2004. Then in July 2005 we got hit by Hurricane Dennis. We were still very much reeling from Ivan and then got hit by Dennis. We didn't have the levy problems or anything like that, but it was a rough time. The area still has not fully recovered from those 2 storms.

Dan: I went to New Orleans frequently the 4 years leading up to Katrina. Going back after is pretty rough even though things are really looking nice. The French Quarter/Market area is coming along nicely...

But this past weekend, I took LB down through the residential areas on the way back to I-10, and she was amazed to see the waterlines on houses that haven't been repainted yet. It's amazing to think how much of the city was under that deep of disgusting water.

That's the one that was so eye-opening as to what really happened and how the government was so slow to provide relief. :(

Yes, back to the MT. :D

Alex- if you shave your head, we are changing your card pic  You still gotta hold the guitar too.
