Charlie- Sweet cards. A lot of nice additions to your collection. ;)

Art- Congrats again on last night. Good luck with the PP charge, I hope it all gets worked out.

Chas- very nice mail, indeed! Darrend sent me the Carew from the Milton Bradley set, too. By the way, do you need the Billy Williams #d base card from last years Sweet Spot Classic? Came across it the other day and can send it out to you if you need it.
Andrew, I don't have it. If you would like to send it, that would be great!

Charlie- cards, cards, and more awesome cards!!! Great stuff. Love the 8x10 and BW absolute.
Thanks again Dave! I think the Urlacher is actually one of my favorites. It scanned OK,
but in person, that card is incredible looking! Scanners don't do justice to foil cards.

Any scans from the break??
Glad you liked the cards :D

For our next break, I wouldn't mind another case of Heroes. That was fun. The other break I was in we had 3 boxes I think of Heroes, and the big hit from those was a Mattingly auto/jsy #/5 I think. I would expect more Stankee treats from other cases. But I thought overall there were some very low numbered cards throughout.

Thanks Joe.

Charlie, I didn't even notice that, but now that you pointed it out, it does sound a bit "off", as I can't picture myself charging ahead with my PP. ::facepalm::

Charlie- Up on your game today huh?

Dave (w)- I agree. Another case of Heroes would be cool. The price point isn't bad. Of course, someone else will probably get the Reds and hit a ton of Griffeys.

Agreed!

Looked at Goodwin Champions, but it would be around 30 bucks a slot at 30.

morning everyone.

the break was fun and I can't wait for the next one. Goodwin would be awesome but probably too expensive Darren.

Charlie awesome mail and congrats on finally getting your Steiner 8x10 and the Williams Absolute.

today is the 5th anniversary of the Red Sox winning the World Series for the first time in 86 years. I am going to watch the dvd and try to forget about this year's playoffs.

Still gives me chills, Dave. :D Not to get too nostalgic, but it meant a lot more for me. My dad had died a year earlier unexpectedly in 2003. He was a lifelong Red Sox fan, and I still remember his disappointment in the 1986 loss and having never seen them win it all over the years. So it was bittersweet that they won it in 2004. I loaned my DVD to my brother and he loaned it to someone else and I never got it back. ::facepalm:: :x

That so cool to me! I have a feeling we are getting more attention on our breaks. A lot of people were watching last night.

I know what you mean here. My neighbor (who was my second father) was from Massachusetts and taught me to love everything Boston. My dad is actually a Yankees fan, so it made for some interesting debates.
He passed just 3 days before the Superbowl when the Patriots were undefeated.

+1. Just have to find the case, Blowout has the 10 box for $660, so 22 bucks a slot, plus shipping.

Don't think we'd get (or want?) 30 people though. 15 slots would be $44 plus fees. Plus Josh could check the price at D&A, and AIC could check dealernet for us. There are a lot of plain bat & jersey hits, but it's still 80 hits from a 10 box case plus a shot at buttons, patches, bases, balls, batting gloves, fielding gloves, hats, shoes, and MLB logos.

There are a lot of nice Dunn cards in there. I wouldn't mind taking a couple of slots in a Champions break. Maybe I could finally get a Dunn button card.

The most amazing Dunn card has had the BIN lowered from $509 to $499. Anyone feeling $500 worth of generous?  Totally kidding. I hope no one takes that seriously.

Dave that's sad that your dad didn't get to witness the Sox win it all. I was only 10 but I remember how upset my grandfather was in 1986 and he told me don't worry they will do it before long. he died in 1996 and never got to see them win it either.
