So as many of you know, I had a debacle a little while ago with the spouse throwing out my collection. Well she called and told me to look in the closet for a brown paper bag. I guess guilt had gotten the best of her as she had tossed out my PC. Well, I look in the bag and what do I find? My Zimmy Logoman, gold refractor auto, a couple of Griffey autos I had, and a few other PC cards that I thought were long gone!

When I asked her why she did that, she said that "I knew they were some of your favorites and I couldn't throw them out. All the other stuff had to go though. I knew these were special as they were in those thick thingys". As much as I'd love to send her to the moon, I have to thank her for doing this. Its nice to know that these cards aren't at the bottom of some landfill!

Awesome news, BLan. Now, maybe you should tell her about the brown paper bag you left for her. She may not enjoy finding fecal matter as much as you enjoyed finding your cards, though.

To-MAY-to, To-MAH-to.

I keep my best cards guarded in a barrel of Utz cheese puffs. Make em earn it ya know?

Problem there being if I ever invite blann over...well...I will be financially wrecked.

;)

The wrecked part is funny considering most of you know my current situation...

You guys are making me think I may have ben a tad shortsighted in my efforts to protect my cards...

Maybe I should keep them in something a bit less enticing food wise? Liverwurst perhaps?

Yes it is. Unless you have peanut butter on it. Or buffalo sauce.

So what you are saying is that no collection is truly safe when guarded by food. I learned something here today...
