Venezuelan's are hard to find, especially in decent condition. Ted has a 67 Venezuelan and it does not come around very often. 707 has a PSA 1 for $380 or BO and I've never made a move on it.

I think you did well for on a 64 for $14. Your guy I presume?
My grandpa. :D

Hard to say but they aren't super easy to find. I'm sure there are other members with more experience with this set that can tell you.
I'll make a thread on the main board when it arrives. I'm pretty sure I remember bouwob paying a pretty penny for the Ryan he found.
I often wonder what makes pretty pennies more valuable than ugly ones.
They're shinier.

Guys, thanks for the comments. TK, not 25 pages of fluff, I have plenty more to say and when all is said and done I will have my dissertation (400+/- pages) and a book on this material. One professor here in Urbana thinks I could work this site and similar ones for the entirety of my career.

Wow! Sounds like you are already set if this is what you decide to do George.

I think I'm going to buy a case of some old UD crap in the hopes of hitting a huge Griffey card. 20 bucks a box but the turnaround is probably crappy.

Hey everyone.

I am sad to report I still haven't gotten in my SS :( I was really hoping to have it in by now. Apparently the mailing system doesn't want me to have it.

Besides that though, things are pretty good.

Finally got my desktop fixed by HP and returned. It's so nice staring at a 21" LCD flat computer screen. Much better than the wife's laptop at least.

How has everyone been?

Have any of you guys ever seen a Dane Cook show in person? He'll be down here in February and I was thinking of going.

Geroge--meant no disrespect on the fluff comment, I was merely remembering in college as a business major all the papers we had to write that were supposed to be "x" number of pages long that could have been written in half the amount of "x" number...and they always preached to be concise and to the point and not say/type more than necessary ::facepalm::

Interesting on wolverine---I am guessing one of 2 things happened here.....

1) they closed the acct themselves and will open a new one to start the feedback over

2) the automatic payments didnt go through for some reason....

My understanding with them was they were one of the "pilot" program sellers for ebay so I am kind of surprised that they would actually get the boot, but maybe ebay actually stuck to the rules and got them on the low DSR and star %...

I knew your point, most things I write that limits contain fluff.

Good day all. Or not. I had a bad feeling about today when the boss didn't call with the day's schedule by 9 am. Laid off today. Pretty much permanently. Feels kinda good as I was tired of the travel involved in that job, but never a good feeling of uncertainty. So I need to make myself feel better, even if just for today. The question is which will work better: finally picking up some of those overpriced scraps from Burbank or guzzling down rum like its my new job? :?
