Brian I know it can be a big deal when you area does not get much in the winter season.

Ok we know he is spoiled, but he really does sleep under a blanket when he is cold
He was on the floor just laying there so I got him a pillow and his blanket. :D
And he laid there for a while too.

What a lazy dog! He looks happy. Gotta love a Spongebob blanket to keep him warm!
He actaully is pretty active this was just after he was down playing with the kids. he likes to be chased around the
house. He will take someone's slipper or shoe and come by them and then run away with it, so you will chase him.

Good Day All!
Oh, Crosby just scored! 1-0 Pens!

We had a dusting overnight. It's chilly here today (-10C/-14) but the rest of the week should be around freezing.

Huge trade for the Flames this morning, dumping Phaneuf, getting some hopefully scoring support up front.
Gonna dump my few phaneuf cards and clean up now hes in TO!

Oh oh, more dog pics....not that I substitute dogs for kids, but my dog is just photogenic
Gus (hes a beagle/basset hound ) loves to show off his junk, well, what's left of it ;) He is lazy, unless you want to go do something. He loves the mountains, and is surprisingly good off leash out there (in the city is a different story). The day before we moved in the fall, the front door was open and he was gone! we looked for 30 mins, and found him across a busy road. We pulled up, opened the car door, and he just looked at us wagging his tail like, "Hey guys, where are we going??"

I sent pm's to all those that pulled Mariners patches, and the only replies were for the one that Excel_b pulled.. got in a bidding war and lost out to another Mariner collector on here..

Kevin (& Alex) Oh Man I want one of those Edgar patches!
I got around to finally scanning these:

I was at the game mentioned. Griffey played his first game on the 3rd of April I believe. Edgar was still with the Cannons. I got my pic in the sports section with Edgar signing my baseball. I gotta find that one, since I know 2 guys in/near my favorite city now!
May 28, 1989|STEVE BUCKLEY, Hartford Courant

BOSTON — The talk of the town in Seattle is a 19-year-old wunderkind named Ken Griffey Jr., who in less than two months in the big leagues has inspired a Seattle area candy company to name a chocolate bar after him.

The Mariners played an exhibition game against the triple-A Calgary Cannons last week in Calgary and the local media turned out in force to do Ken Griffey Jr. stories, but the wunderkind was curt with the writers and wouldn't do interviews with TV reporters.

The next day, a Calgary Sun columnist got his revenge. In an article headlined, "Young Griffey brat with bat," Griffey was described as a "petulant, spoiled 19-year-old who had to be begged and cajoled into conducting one brief mass interview . . . an interview in which he had nothing noteworthy to say."

The Mariners were livid with Griffey's behavior in Calgary, and told him so, yet they also recognize they are dealing with a teen-ager, a kid who would be in only his second year of college or banging at the back door of the job market were it not for baseball.

Dan: Good. At work, watching the hockey, listening to local radio get reaction about the Dion trade.
"Canada has traded Celine Dion to Las Vegas, NV for a BVG 6 Andre Dawson RC and case of new NHL pucks. It is believed Canada got the best of this deal."

Hey everyone. Long time no drop in, but figured I have some time to hang out and chat, so why not.

Been kind of busy the pat two weeks or so.

Hunter celebrated his second birthday yesterday and had a ton of fun at his birthday party:
huntermiscandBIRTHDAY036-Copy.jpg

That's Hunter opening a present from his grandma (my wife's mother).
huntermiscandBIRTHDAY144.jpg

This is what happens when he doesn't have a fork for his cake, he goes cro-magnon man on me.
huntermiscandBIRTHDAY150.jpg

A gratifying smile after enjoying a bit of his cake.

I've had a few wins recently on some stuff I had been wanting to pick up for my various PC's:

For my burgeoning Gibson PC, I am gathering up everything I can...not just cards. This will make the third book/publication that features or is about Gibson.
!BkMfKWwBWk~$(KGrHqYH-DoEt!cqyH6LBLWhizpRVQ~~_12.jpg

This is a terribly labeled 1960 Topps Gibson card...his second year card. Not in the greatest shape, but I don't mind picking up a beat up copy for less than $6 shipped.
!Bjrfmm!!Wk~$(KGrHqQH-E!Es9usjt3PBLUm,V70lQ~~_12.jpg

My first Hidalgo Tek cards. Gonna try and see how many I can pick up from the 98 set over the next month or so.
!BUsK0gwBGk~$(KGrHgoOKjoEjlLm(,tvBKOvjtKVdQ~~_12.jpg

Not big into game used stuff for my Hidalgo collection, but this is a great piece of the ball and figured it could settle into my Astros team PC.

Last, but not least, my latest Hunter Pence auto. Parraz was supposedly a better prospect at the time they were drafted, but as you might know by now, Pence is definitely having the better professional career.

I am also currently in school for small arms maintenance and it is probably my favorite military schooling I have gotten so far. If you are prior service, are currently in the service or enjoy fire arms, this class is probably one you would love. Taking a part all kinds of cool stuff like the .50 caliber machine gun and the M249 SAW is way too much fun...and it is all we are doing.

Not to mention, we have had about 8 or 9 inches of snow fall over the last 4 days or so....which has been pretty nice. It delays work by 2 hours, which means I get to sleep in a little extra, which is always nice.

These first two pictures my wife took of the area near our house on post:

This last picture is of the icicles hanging right in front of our front door. The longest one is like 3+ feet long:

How has everyone been?
