Hey Jesse, I met my wife at a hockey game in Fairbanks, AK. I refer to my ticket as the best $5.00 I ever spent!

Reminds me of a funny story (of course, everything reminds me of a funny story):

I first met Chris at the college where I now work. She was working behind the counter of the Tutoring Dept. and when I was asking her questions about some paperwork, she got REALLY annoyed with me and told me in a snotty voice, to "take the papers over to Personnel. I don't need or want them!"

I remember as I walked over to Personnel thinking, "Man, what a b----! Hope I never have to deal with her again!" :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

100% TRUE story!!

You know, when I tell that story in front of her, she always says, "If you hadn't been such a *******, I wouldn't have gotten annoyed at you!"

My gal is a delicate little flower, she is! :mrgreen:

I met Carolynne at work at the Stampede BBQ. I saw her the first day at work, but then I worked alone. Anyways, FFWD to July, we're sitting at the tabe with our lunches, and I start to chat it up. Well I have some carrot, and I laugh, and I shat you not, I spit some at her.
7 1/2 years later we are happy, have a house and are planning to start traveling soon.

A dog I had at the time named Maggie threw up on Chris while we were watching tv a couple weeks into our courtship. I laugh whenever I think about it, but she just kinda glares at me when I "bring it up" (pun possibly intended).

chas - I understand. The new one you just posted is a perfect example to me that contradicts the other. Notice the opening between the red "C" and the back of the bear that allows the jersey to show through. The patch I question doesn't have that opening that would allow the jersey to show through. I'm not saying it's fake or real. It just looks suspect to me. It just doesn't look like it has the quality you would find on an MLB jersey. It looks like an iron-on you could buy individually.

Well, proximity must have had something to do with it. We worked together a lot (forced to), were close in age (everyone else was much younger), and each had a smarta$$ sense of humor. She, though she denies it, asked ME out first. She made me go see a terrible, terrible theater production for a class she was in at the time. We were laughing at the wrong times in the play (honest to god, thought it was a satire).

The rest is history, as they say.
