hi guys. We are having a major spring blizzard here in Calgary today, its unreal outside. I finally got power on in my house. Power had been out for almost 5 hours, since 8am. Just cranked the heat up, been sitting here with 2 sweaters on and tons of blankets

I never read the whole thread but yeah that weird "P" stands for "Prospecting". When someone posts a thread about prospects they are supposed to put that P as the thread icon, so people that dont like reading about prospects dont have to click on that thread. Not all the prospectors are using it, but a few guys like jaypers, Messier and Nec put it on all their prospect threads.

Yeah the wind here right now is close to 70KM which i believe is around 50 mph, i think it was stronger this morning cause it felt like my roof was gonna fly off.

Its not that cold out, only 27F but with the wind it feels like 10F, which gets a little chilly.

Yeah it does , the only month that we are guaranteed no snow is July. June and August snow is very rare, but it does happen. We usually get our last big snowfall in May sometime. I get jealous when i see on TV you guys already have green grass and leafs on your trees :lol: here the grass is still yellow and the trees aren't even blooming yet. ::facepalm::

Theres a reason why Canada is the biggest country in the world, but the least populated :lol:

But atleast we dont have to worry about all the other natural disasters up here like Hurricanes, Earthquakes etc.

I couldn't deal with snow until May. I hate having it for the 3 months that we get it here.

Yeah its not constant snow though, the last 3 weeks have been great and temps got as high as the mid 60s, heck just this weekend it was in the 50s, but then this storm blew in. Its supposed to only last 3 days and then warm up again. Plus we get the Chinooks here as well, those are always nice in January
