They are, but at least they’re contending a year ahead of schedule despite a rag tag bullpen.

Once Touki can find his fastball command he'll become a real threat on the mound with that devastating curveball of his.

When he doesn't have command of that fastball he ends up doing what he has so far...4 walks in 4 IP. Thankfully he's only given up one hit so nobody has crossed home plate.

Acuna steals his 14th base of the season but makes a mistake trying to get greedy by taking third too and gets caught stealing.

Meanwhile, Robbie Ray is no-hitting us through the first four innings but that's to be expected as he's a real good pitcher on a hot streak.

It's beyond repair. Even if we do manage to make it to the postseason there is no way we'll make it past the first series with this rag tag pen.

But as manningmurphy said, we're a year ahead of schedule so at least we aren't dwelling in the cellar with the Mets and Marlins again.

Problem is the starters run their pitch counts up early. They’re usually lucky to go 6 innings.
