Yuck, it's the $hitty Freeman on our team...and he probably just lost the game for us. Bases loaded and nobody out.

But wait.....a BIG double play *may* have just saved us! Still runners on 2nd & 3rd but two outs.

Nope....he blew it. Padres have a 4-3 lead now.

Failing to bring Swanson home from third with nobody out looms large. Rule of thumb: If Braves have a runner on 3rd, 2nd & 3rd, 1st & 3rd, or bases loaded with nobody out, they are not going to score a single run. Braves generally score when least expected....or with two-outs.

Why didn't we use Gohara? Sam Freeman is awful

Not even Freddie Freeman can make up for the damage that the evil Freeman created tonight.

Just gonna say it...Gohara doesn't look like the same pitcher we saw last year in the majors & minor leagues.

He's lost some velocity, doesn't look overpowering & is no longer in command of the strike zone. No intensity.

How does it take this long to get the call from New York? He's obviously safe. Swanson never touched the bag.

When was the last time we've scored more than 4 runs in a game? Seems like it's been awhile...certainly not this week.

Another game where the Braves are failing to put up decent offense......but, Newcomb has been KILLING IT!

The Nats move a game back in the standings and the Phillies remain where they are.

Sean Newcomb: 8-2, 2.70 ERA (3.23 FIP) 80 IP, 81 Strikeouts, 1.18 WHIP (1.8 rWAR/1.6 fWAR)

He's putting up All-Star numbers along with Folty. I think both of those two deserve a nod for this years All-Star game.
