would you rather have a jeresy card, button, patch or auto? post what you picked, who your player would be & why you made the choice you made

i respectfully disagree. player often signed a piece of paper for a fan, or a document of some sort, signing it $ forgetting about it. the button was buttoned & unbuttoned by the player on a regular basis. some players probably fidgeted with them as well. the buttons stuck with the player for longer amounts of time, especially for the guys you mentioned. that being said i wouldnt mind an auto of any of those guys either

It's a lot easier for me to personally confirm what I believe as an authentic autograph than a game-used jersey swatch, patch or button. We know almost immediately the autograph screw-ups yet we'll never know a single one of the, surely more, rampant game-used screw-ups.
How can you say this with such utter certainty?matchpenalty said:Auto, I don't trust game used cards at all. If I want I gamer, I want entire piece and to know that it's a legit. No one can authenticate a piece on a card.
I'm probably the only one on these boards who has owned a Mathewson autograph, and for me the decision was an easy one...I'd rather have the cash from a Mathewson autograph, than the autograph itself.bodiaz said:If it is a current player, I take the button. Not many of them. If it is someone who died over 50 years ago, I will take the auto. Would love to own a Christy Matthewson auto much more than any button ever made!

that could be brought about?
