Anyone know anything about this 99 Pacific plate? do they exist? Not listed in Beckett, so I have no clue.

Good afternoon boys!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Just been hanging out with my girls all day, and watching the Bears win.

Good afternoon Gents, men, buddies, sports fans, nutjobs, wackos, and bums. J/k.

At the laundromat after a busy day. Woke up and forgot it was DST again, worked from 12-3, then packed up stuff around the house, hit Macy's, got another $30 off a coat we got Whitney last week! Finally bought a food processor! Really excited about that, I love to cook! Then hit Goodwill to drop stuff off, and ran by McDonald's to get a drink. Still have to go to the store after this, but love spending time with the SO.

Indy that auction is not until next Saturday and I am getting antsy.

Jack,

How about a card catalog?

Her very own microfiche (sp?) machine.
Or a Dewey decimal system?

She actually would think an old card catalog cabinet is cool!

As far as the Mixer, she hates cooking. Refers to the kitchen as "that place". I would like a new mixer for myself.

As for the microfiche machine- interesting but cumbersome.

She actually knows the Dewey Decimal categories by heart. If people would buy tickets, she could put on an Amazing Kreskin-type show; people could yell out numbers and she would give them the approximate category.

That's what I was going for! I went to an antique shop and they had a bunch of card catalogs for sale, but wanted a nice chunk of change for them.

I thought it would be cool for my cards! I found one once that was 8ft long had around 100 drawers, they wanted a grand for it. ::facepalm::

I have actually looked a few times for a card catalog to use for storage. Either too much money or wont fit into right space...

Yep, the few I have seen have been way outta my price league.

I will have to ruminate on gift possibilities...

Happy Late Afternoon/Good Night Fellas :D !!! Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday and had a good halloween too. Had a day of taking care of the hungover wife ::facepalm:: ...was a great night but quite the aftermath  . We went out with her 3 best ladies and saw a Led Zepplin cover band and a Queen cover band...it was an awesome show. Now we are just getting ready to eat some french toast and fruit.

So I was able to sneak out to the card shop today and make what I feel was a VERY decent trade:

Here is what I gave the shop:

Here is what I got in return:

Picked this up with the $15 price tag...I have no clue if the Clemens is real or not, but I made a thread about it: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=66641

2001 Donruss Studio Diamond Kings "auto" 002/250

I debated with my buddy there that this price was too low, but he said the "pricing guy" wanted it gone so I picked it upu with $25 on the tag. Beckett has it listed for $120 and the inscription is even more rare

2004 SP Authentic Chirography Stan Musial inscribed auto "HOF 69" 19/25

ss10.jpg

Then I got the following lot of patches...there was some water damage to them during last years flooding. Here is what the damage looks like with the cards stacked up. The order of the players from top to bottom is Schilling, Edmonds, Griffey, Schilling/Johnson, Clemens and Glaus/Erstad:

waterdamage1.jpg
waterdamage2.jpg

waterdamage3.jpg
waterdamage4.jpg

Here they are with the fronts scanned:

...and this Miguel Cabrera 2005 Zenith patch 113/150 without any damage whatsoever

patch7.jpg

Needless to say...including the water damage and the possible non auto on the Clemens I am a little proud about this trade. What do you guys think?? If any of you have any knowledge about the Clemens "auto" that would be greatly appreciated

Even with the water damage, that's a pretty decent trade. Those water damaged cards would be perfect for a custom crossover.
