Did anyone else feel like 2007's were harder to track down?

Weren't the 1st Editions typically issued as special boxes? I recall seeing 2004 and 2005 Bowman boxes for sale that were 1st Edition boxes - nothing but 1st Ed base cards, no inserts or parallels. The 2007s were something like 1:36 (off the top of my head), and I've never seen them for some of my players.

Yes they were 1:36 and are super tough. I have no idea about the Update but those never surface either.
I saw the Jeter/Mantle/Bush a few months ago and he wanted an arm and leg for it.

There are 330 cards in the base set.
There are inserts: Generation Now, Mickey Mantle Home Run History and The Mickey Mantle Story. There are also 25 more cards for the A-Rod Road to 500, Barry Bonds Home Run History also a special Barry Bonds Home Run King,World Series Watch cards.
There are parallels for all the base cards in Gold (numbered to 2007), Copper (#'d to 56), First Edition (one per box) and Platinum (1-of-1).
The relic cards include: All-Star Stitches, 2007 Highlights Autographs and Generation Now Autographs.

Don't want to hijack this thread, but is there a Jim Thome Collector on this board? I have a low numbered you might be interested in. Please PM me.

I don't have either the Topps or Topps Update 1st edition from 2007. Now I'm goinig to have to keep my eye out for them.

Is there also a 1st Edition version of 2005 Topps Update? I haven't heard of it but the recent discussion in this thread has me wondering if i should be looking for an '05 Topps Update Olerud...

I think you're safe, I don't see anything about 1st Editions from 2005 Update. Good thing, you might have some competition for one if they did exist! ;)

The Final Cuts are even nicer in person, I recommend everyone get one of their player(s) as soon as you can!

Nice card - Don't think I have ever seen one of that parallel.

I like to seach eBay every now and then for other examples, and there have been some recently on the site. It looks like seven went unsold by a seller in Singapore. I imagine that a lot of them are still in unopened packs. If I remember correctly, it was a little pricey for 4 cards per pack (maybe $4?). Would love to pick some of this up now. I think, like most Pacific products, it is very underrated.

I didn't realize there was such a Brady Anderson following. A couple of nights ago his 2000 Finest Gold Refractor auctioned for $50 while I got the Carlos Beltran for $1.

I was going after it, but then it just seemed too insanely high and I backed off at the end. $50 can be used elsewhere for my Brady Collection.

Real or no real?

Probably real. Fleer did a buyback type thing where their older inserts were re-inserted in a newer product with hand numbering. If I remember right, there should be a real faint, faint, faint embossed stamp on it... I have a Gwynn, and about half the stamp is visible if you hold it just right.
