Clinton Yeager, your posts bring light to my otherwise dark, dungeony existence.

But, if I could be serious for a minute.

If folks get butthurt here, because a couple posts blow up into a flame war or the OP asked or assumed something, because they thought it was true and it is a blatant error either by a card company or something else, I don't know if I want them here, because I wouldn't want the silver spoon to fall out of their mouths or their protective bubble to burst.

I've been told SEVERAL times, either in person, on a forum or on all of our favorite social media sites, that I'm different, a dick, an ******* or someone that they'd never associate with, because of what I post here or elsewhere. That's more than fine by me, but I'm not going to change just because Johnny Come-Lately is the new kid in town and wants everyone to love him (or her), I will let them down. I post what I feel. If that makes me an ******* that, one day, could get me booted, that's fine. I survived before BMB, I survived after BMB, I survived before FCB & I will survive after FCB.

/wandering rant, looking for my neon glow-in-the-dark Depends ....

I don't recall any Topps rep being on the board and trolled.

But us, as customers, have a right to complain, and God knows Topps, and Leaf, give the consumers MANY reasons to complain.

This is a board of collectors. I would assume if I were a card manufacturer coming here to be part of the community, that I would be bombarded with negative feedback and constructive criticism. But people don't want to hear what they're doing wrong, and try to fix problems. They just want to hear what the people like.

Could not be less true..
Only a STUPID manufacturer would not want to at least read negative customer feedback so they could weigh those thoughts in their decision making process...

I do not believe that Jon Mead and Posey Buster (the two that pushed the rudness over the top) are bad people.

I do believe that both can be active and productive members of this community. I've had pleasant interactions with both. Once their behavior adjusts to the more adult community that this is, then all should be good with them.

I haven't interacted with John Mead...but that other person you mentioned...I thought it was just me seeing the bullcrap they spewed. As others said they didn't see anything wrong. I saw a lot wrong and I thought why in the hell is this NEW person getting away with this? Seriously, who comes into a new forum and just does that crap?

You weren't the only one that saw it bro. Every time I was in the same thread as Lindsey, we butted heads. She just couldn't be decent.

We spend all this time focusing on someone getting butt hurt by words.. Or fear of them acquiring a sand accumulation in or near their vaginal walls. Why not focus on some of the positives.

If everyone says something nice about one poster in this thread.. Things will be better for tomorrow and tomorrow's children.

Dave Archer, I appreciate you and enjoy your use of punctuation!

See already healing!

Notjo, i like your positive approach to this.

I am surprised this has went this many pages. It truly is a simple thing. Don't be a dick, things will be smooth.

Do you honestly think people come here to be treated like XXXX? If a new member accidentally posts a transaction thread on the baseball board, people get pissy. Instead of offering a helping hand or explaining what happened, it's a race between ******** to see who can make the new member feel stupid and inferior first.

I don't care how much of a tough guy you are. I don't care if you would talk to someone like that face to face or not. It's just basic etiquette. No one wants to be treated poorly, so don't treat others poorly. It really is that simple.

As far as traffic and the board, if some of you do not believe that you're harming the board by being here, you're dumber than I thought. Just be decent. No one is saying you can't make jokes, poke fun, or whatever. Don't troll and don't be a dick.

That means not following BG around and making snide comments in EVERY thread. We all get it, you don't like BG and Leaf. Fine. Go to a different thread. If you're that much of an attention *****, make some real life friends who may give a XXXX.

I'm sure someone will point out that my post wasn't nice, but people seem to not be able to comprehend how basic this is. Quit running off new members, be civil, quit trolling, don't be a dick. Is all of that really that difficult?

So snide comments bother you so much that you make several in your own post? Way to clear up the blurriness of this new tighter moderation.

Thank you for ignoring my second post. Thank you for also proving my point. Chris tried to be nice, everyone cried. Everyone tried to be nice, everyone cried. Maybe if I brought it to the criers level, it could be understood. I also find it amusing that when a mod posts like that, it's an issue. Treat each other and mods like, no big deal.

No one is blaming Chris even though part of the problem are the moderators who add nothing IMO. Maybe these new member who are running from this site are afraid to report people because then they will get pms from other moderators who will call them names when one of their "friends" are reported.

As been pointed out and ignored if we had moderators who added content besides their feelings maybe we would get new signups and the other forums that are ghost towns would flourish(imagine a Basketball only hot list?). Are a few members to blame? Sure I guess you could say that but if it was muted by positive content it would go unnoticed the majority of the time.

And do you really find it amusing when its an issue? Whether you like it or not you represent this website and its members. Dropping to their level does nothing but show in fact you may rather the last "shot" as opposed to fixing any issues.

I like to think of myself as a pretty low key guy here, but even I got misinterpreted in a thread of my own and it went 45 posts of jabs and finally clarification. At the time it was questioned by new members Hawk and Posey. But my point was finally understood and life went on. I like to think of them as straightforward members of the community, and dont think less of them in any way.

I guess we all have our ups and downs. We're human. But i do agree, dont be a dick for being a dicks sake.
