TheFiveMajors - Strasburg Auto Sales - Anybody Receive?

I know the original thread was locked, but danimal posted in the trader-info forum that he is still not happy with the transaction. I know that boomo did receive a number of higher-end cards that he purchased, so that went ok. Just wanted to check and see that the others who purchased Strasburg autos received them - I would think that most (including danimal's) would arrive today at the latest after the holiday.

The guy said he sent them first class on Wednesday, they probably didn't roll out until Thursday, and mail didn't run yesterday. I wouldn't be surprised if it got delivered today or tomorrow.
Danimal is all up in arms about the DC# he got, when I have had a handful of DC#'s never have their status updated, because the PO workers just didn't scan the damn thing.

If the cards end up delivered, I'd be seriously peeved about the use of the word "stole" in feedback.

Every time I see that sentence I cringe....I don't know of one person who ever wasn't scammed when someone used the words overnight. Happened to me plenty.

The DC# (04969001623023094022) shows acceptance at the guy's local PO on THURSDAY. That means it's just now on it's 3rd day of transit.

"thief" needs to be reserved until the actual crime has taken place. Until then,t he guy is just a bad communicator. Holy hell, people, he's not a business... he's an average everyday guy that makes friggen mistakes. If he was out to straight up steal your money, I doubt he would have wasted time even TRYING to defend himself.

Then, we he posts a pic (albeit, not professional) it was "OMG THE PIC IS FAKE MAKE IT CLOSER OMG WTF". Then, when it is pointed out that the sigs are different, the autograph stamp is there and that there is no facsimile auto it's "OMG THE DC NUMBER HE SENT ME ISN'T UPDATED IN THE 2 DAYS IT'S HAD IN TRANSIT! OMFG THIEF!"

Yeah, he didn't send overnight express. Whoop. Wait until you get the package, then try to contact him about a partial refund on the shipping.

That's the case with any transaction, though. Danimal trusted the guy enough to pay with a PayPal gift, and so that's his mistake. If he's not willing to wait on it, then blasting the guy here is not going to do any good. It's not going to get his money back.

Search TheFiveMajors' posts. I doubt he has any interest in being here, despite what his intentions were with these transactions. Seriously, though, why would someone who was just out to steal money go through the trouble of even trying to defend himself?

If danimal has such an issue, maybe he should file a police report?

i have been using electronic mail and have mailed 6000 packages in the last 2 years, 99.9 % with DC.
the rules of Dc are simple it ONLY HAS to be scanned at the end destination, it does not need to be scanned anywhere else.
depending on the route the mail takes thru a large mailing house or maybe a smaller one, it CAN be scanned at every stop
but does not have to be. It all depends on the route, the workers, the way it is handled from A to B. If he gets his package today, that message will change to delivered, and that will be it. Hope this helps.

FWIW, I would consider a $175 purchase a high-end sale, even if it as for a large group of lower-end cards. Hhe could have just as easily kept your $175 for 100 low-end cards as for 1 high-end card, but he didn't.

But if he mailed a group of packages out on the 1st, being located in the center of the country, I would expect them to start showing up today. Not having a dog in the fight, either danimal or the fivemajors apologists will be eating crow in the next 24 hours.

Just for clarification I paid regular paypal with a cc not gift. And I think Randy Shields is a fairly reputable member and he is in agreement with me that thefivemajors is a thief or at least exhibits thief-like behavior, in which case the "if it walks like a duck rule" automatically goes into effect.

What exactly will you say if the Strasburg shows up? I mean, after calling a guy a thief, publicly outing him the SAME night you paid for a card and THEN it shows up?

I am very confident that won't happen. I am done with the back and forth I posted on the feedback forum just to give me experience with a member nothing more and nothing less than that.

Congratulations, but you are not the only person who has shipped countless packages in their time.

I'm not saying this guy didn't mail anything, I'm saying that the information provided online does not prove it was shipped. Also, packages that show no median tracking are in the minority of those who do.
