$500 is not chump change, but I think there may be some money left on the table. Would I think 'way too cheap'? Probablly not, but at this point in the game it's just speculation.

I think that card will be re-listed when the buyer gets it.

It started as a $1,199.99 Buy it Now and Best Offer.
Obviously, the seller didn't get anywhere near that in offers and took the best one.
Two other /99 Pujols auto patch cards failed to sell at $200.

I don't think $500 is too little for a Pujols patch /5 auto in a Leaf unlicensed draft set.
Some bidders probably feel the card is like those Mike Schmidt and Barry Bonds signed cards from Classic and other minor league sets in the '90s.
Yes, I know the quality of card is leagues different, but the perception of having a superstar's autograph in an unlicensed draft set makes no sense to some people, so the value is lower than if it were in a Major League set.

And the +5 or cross 5 just looks tacky. Now we know why he never added it before. Unless he thought he was adding #5.

What happened to Ichiro? was that just a 1 year deal?

Take the money and run....
In this shaky economy - $500 is a great price for that card considering it's non licensed tacky looking card.

Older, better looking auto patch cards from other card companys have sold for about half that in the past few years

Pujols has been selling cold all year long. If that was a Trout or Cabrera patch auto it might be different.

The "cross 5" is nothing new. It may be new to cards, but he's signed other memorabilia like that for a few years now.

This. I have been watch Pujols prices for a little while now and $500 seems market value. There was a Topps Tier One Prodigious patch, on card auto, sold just over $200.

^THIS X2. Plus the fact that the Cards are his ex-team. Big chunk of prior Pujols collectors have no interest now that he's not a Card anymore. These Leaf Pujols cards will just water down the market for his stuff. I'm sure there's many more to come if the Ali/Rose pattern continues.

Unlicensed product
Old team logo
Missed playoffs
Not even the best player for his current team this past season

Great sale IMHO.

Cheap. No, not by a long shot. Did the patch auto of Pujols sell for less than it could do if he was on fire and leading his team to the playoffs, or even had a Pujols type year, MINUS the first two month funk of this season ? Yes.

One also has to think that there will be many many more of these cards produced in the future.
