For over 10 years now I've been handing out candy and CARDS.

Just finished team bagging, and this year the kids are getting:

A mix of Allen and Ginter!

Yeah, those kids definitely are getting a trick rather than a treat.

This is great! This is exactly what got me into cards when I was 6 years old back in 1987. One of my neighbors gave out packs of 1987 and I still have the Barry Bonds RC out of my pack... At the time I was a big fan of his and the Bash Bros. What you are doing is great and will hopefully inspire many others!

"Who'd you get?"
"I dunno, some dude named Ted Williams. He must suck, 'cuz I never heard of him. How 'bout you?"
"Josh Gibson. Must be a crappy minor league scrub. Oh well."
Both youngsters chuck the cards into nearby shrubs. ::facepalm::

Just so you know, I'm making fun of the kids, not your idea, which I WILL be stealing for next year's Halloween!!!

Great idea, i would do it but I don't think the kids in my neighborhood would give a poop about them honestly...just candy on my end

This is a great way to perpetuate interest in the hobby!

This will be the tenth year I've given a card and candy to each trick or treater. My wife is STILL amazed that the kids get excited over the cards.
