Too bad he got the loss.
I wish he was still with the Rangers. Texas gave up on him after his Tommy John surgery a few years ago.
I watched him pitch with AA Midland in the Texas League in 1995 and he was so fan friendly.
I have a big personal collection of his stuff, including an autographed cap and tons of signed programs, tickets, cards, etc.
He's such a nice guy so I hope he has a great career with the Cubs.

He was part of the now infamous 'DVD' trio of prospects from 5-6 years ago that were to lead the Texas Rangers to the playoff promised land. John Danks, Edinson Volquez and Diamond. Diamond was the one they were most high on which means he was the one they got the least out of, eventually releasing him.
