The Holliday for Wallace talks are really increasing and it is said to be 50-50 currently. How is everyone who has Wallace Razor cards feeling?

With Chavez out, he could be the heir apparant at the hot corner.

I think his prices will increase if this happens -- isn't Oakland considered a higher market team?

Than STL? No way. Oakland is one of the worst hobby markets.

I dont think Oakland is anywhere close in market with the Cardinals.....however, I do agree Wallace will be on fast track to the A's third base duties if the trade deos happen.

I've always thought Cardinals cards get more love myself. Shoot, look at what Brett Anderson has done lately and where his prices are at.

How does a trade to Oakland suddenly make him a MLB caliber defensive third baseman?

Well then, let's look at the plethora of third basemen in the A's minor league system who are ahead of Wallace.

Oh, wait. There aren't any.

Haha, what? STL is one of the biggest markets, imo. The fans are pretty crazy.

I still kinda doubt this trade happens, but I'll be very happy if it does. At the very least, we offer him compensation, he declines, and we get two top 40 picks.

Yes I would be very happy if this trade happens. However, it sounds as through the only way it does is if Oakland eats about $6 million of his salary.

Isn't that all he has left on his deal?

And that's different than the current St. Louis situation how? Freese has been hurt all year, Thurston sucks, and DeRosa would slide to left if Wallace could actually play third.

Lets just say I have a very large Wallace stash...I've never stockpiled anyone like this before. If he is traded, I'll probably be too ill to continue prospecting and will stick with my player collections.

That about sums it up.

Cardenas has played some third this year which is a surprise to me. He played very little games at 3rd when he was in the Phillies system, so he might be the next 3B for the A's.
