I am thankful that FCB is a little more relaxed than most sites.

I went to check on a thread of mine on another site (I won't name it because it's not vital to the story). When I saw it earlier this morning, it was 3 pages deep. I had not messed with it since last night some time. I had to make an update due to a sale and wanted to add some cards, but couldn't do it properly from my iPad. I simply bumped it so I could correct everything when I went upstairs to my home computer after a few minutes. I did mention in my bump that the thread was updated to explain why I bumped.

I was trying to check it a few minutes ago and for some reason, it was totally gone. Seriously??? No warning, just delete everything I wrote? Great way to treat a board member.... Thankfully, I have the same thread going on this site so I didn't lose all the work I had into the thread since I had a ton of scans with card names and prices listed.

A little while ago, I got an email telling me I received a "thread bump warning" and I couldn't repost within 24 hours. I asked for clarity on the issue because when I saw it was gone, I created another post. I was emailed back saying I could not list the same cards in the thread for 24 hours, but I could list different stuff. Seriously? People are watching that close to see if I am listing the same cards again? I can sell stuff but not the other items for 24 hours.

I'm just thankful that this site at least here you get gentle warnings by members before anything gets locked. And even when it is locked, at least you can get all of your info again.

Thank you FCB for having more freedom here than most sites. That's the first time I've ever had an issue with another site for any reason. I'm just thankful that here at FCB, I just don't run into stuff like that. That's exactly why I only recommend this site to others when I talk about cards.

Best card site in the world!

So they have rules in place that you didn't follow and are now surprised about the warning?

Not quite guys. I was making some changes to my thread so I could list more stuff as well delete some items. I respect the intent of the rule. It is to prevent someone from placing "..." every hour or two to stay at the top.

At least warn someone before you delete everything. In most cases, mods and members do that here without deleting threads or locking them automatically.

I explained to the mod what I was doing and he said was just following the TOS. I get that. But not be smart alec and say that if you ask nicely, they typically give you your thread info back. Just do it and don't power trip over it.
