I have dealt with Tom in the past and it went well. I am in the middle of a deal right now, I was unable to ship
until this Wednesday and he paid anyways.

Wow, it's finally happened. I'm now one of the lucky ones to actually get all my money back after getting screwed by him over 3 years ago on here. Once I saw his name on here again I contacted the Mods and they helped getting him to make it right and it finally happened. The last thread that went on a couple of months ago about him forced the issue and he finally paid back the rest, but it's taken 3 1/2 years in all.

John was telling me about that just a week ago or so at the Springfield mall show. Had no idea it was this guy that got you. He got me good too as many have read. Atleast you got your money back.

Back when we were all on the BMB his id's were banned with some work on each one.MartinFFcollectors posts were most helpful in connecting the dots.So thanks to MartinFFcollector for his posts back then.I think he prevented many people from being ripped off.

Other than a just overall bad attitude towards others he seems to be trading with no problems on many sites I'm on. I've actually bought stuff from him in the last couple months. I'm still very wary though.

That's how cons work, they gain your trust and when they think you might be vulnerable they strike.

You're welcome. Glad to help in that way.

Thinking about his service a little more last nite- the key point on another board was the aircraft carrier he said he was stationed on. It was not in service when he claimed to be deployed. I think his counter was Oh I meant xxxxx. The admin. then went in his acct. and started making a bunch of funny posts on his acct. basically running him off.

I sold some stuff to Tom last year or the year before. It was $300 or so. The only problem I had was that he was slow in paying. He told me upfront that he would need a week to pay, that turned into 2, and in the end it was about a month before he finally came through.

I'm sorry for all of those that were taken by him. It's just sad that people scam other people.

He was part of this year's B-day group.
Obviously that's no longer the case and the members who were to send to him have been sent a PM. Members who were to receive from here on (2), don't worry, everything will be taken care of.

If he deserved it, then that's the end of it. From what I've read, he deserved it.
I hate to read that certain members were scammed and it's a shame that people get ripped by others like him. Is there no respect???
Crazy world we live in!!! I might seem naive at times but I always want to believe people are good... then you read things like this.

About a year ago I talked with him on skype once... He went on and on and on about his past actions, accusations, bans, etc. Got REALLY annoying listening to that crap for like an hour... It was blatantly obvious that something was "off" after he defended himself for so long about something I never even asked about...

Sounded in his 40s or 50s? I really don't remember. He wasn't young though.

After I pointed out how if you googled garkocollector banned in one of his topics (before the name change) he sent me a long winded well thought out excuse of mistaken identity as if it was copy and pasted (I got several paragraphs in what seemed like 30 seconds after posting) since he may have used it all the time. He basically admitted that he has done some stuff but it was a "joke" and has paid all that off later in our exchange. That's as clear as he would get before I just ignored his denials and his attempts at trying to butter me up into silence with compliments.

Time passed after the name change and the dust was kicked up again in one of his topics, but now he was denying everything, he then denied that he ever admitted to his "joke" in our pm's. It was then I realized the reason he could possibly have for the "out in the open" screen name was part of his whole deny deny deny web of mistaken identity story he set up. Its the only logical answer.

There was a million excuses that it was never him, but yet some guy shows up like hey dick you owe me money and he pays him off. And here we are what weeks later and now we have another member who was burnt for 3500? I really feel it was only a matter of time before he returned to his old "jokes" again no matter how people stood up and made excuses for him.

Might have been in his 30's. I don't know. Just remember a LONG pathetic conversation about how he was being falsely accused for a lot of things that I didn't give a crap about in the first place.
