I can't be the first to mention the one and only, Mr. George Herman Ruth in 1927, can I?

7/8-7/9: 7-9, 3 HR, 2 2B, 12 RBI, 4 R, 2 BB, 1 SB (Who says the Babe can't run??)

Score of 35.

Babe Ruth is the first pitcher to make the list. Started and won the game on the 13th with 2 HR and followed up on the 14th with another 2 HR game. Not sure how to value the pitching right now, so I am going to ignore for now.

Babe Ruth was a beast. Had he stayed a pitcher his whole career he still would have ended up in the hall....

Score of 32.

The top two catcher scores are both Reds. I'm going to take a look at Piazza and see where he stands.

Mo Vaughn joins the '30' club in 1995

7/2-7/3: 5-9, 4 HR, 1 3B, 9 RBI, 5 R, 1 BB

That's the 7th player with a '30' score, definitely the most common score so far. I'm going to slot him in behind Schmidt and Ted Williams. I give more credit to the things the batter can control, HR/3B/2B rather than the more team oriented stats like RBI and Runs.

30 Mike Schmidt (Apr 17/18 1976) 6 for 11, 5 HR, 10 RBI, 5 R, 1 GDP
30 Ted Williams (May 7/8 1957) 5 for 7, 4 HR, 8 RBI, 4 R, 3 BB
30 Mo Vaughn (July 2/3 1995) 5 for 9, 4 HR, 1 3B, 9 RBI, 5 R, 1 BB
30 Fred Lynn (June 17/18 1975) 6 for 10, 3 HR, 1 3B, 11 RBI, 5 R, 1 BB
30 Alex Rodriguez (Apr 27/28 2005) 6 for 9, 4 HR, 11 RBI, 4 R
30 Joe Dimaggio (Aug 28/29, 1939) 6 for 9, 3 HR, 11 RBI, 5 R, 2 BB
30 Alex Rodriguez (Apr 15/16 2000) 5 for 10, 3 HR, 1 2B, 10 RBI, 8 R, 2 BB

I am pretty sure we would have found anyone who had 6 HRs in two games, but I did find another guy who had 5 HR.

Stargell almost had 5 HR, but there was a one day break between the 2 HR and 3 HR game. This one isn't too shabby though.

Nice couple of games there. I'm getting quick at just glancing at who might have a high enough 2 game score to post. Only going for 30+ scores from here on out...already turned down at least a dozen 25-29 scores over the past hour, lol. This thread is great btw! I love any excuse to be on BBRef for hours... :)

Wow. In April 1971, Willie Stargell had three different instances where he had 4 HR in back to back games. Unfortunately, they were almost all solo shots so he didn't rack up any huge scores.
