Henderson as a Yankee? Seriously? I hate it when companies do this kind of thing...maybe I am the only one who thinks so, but I prefer the player be on the team he is most associated with...in this case, he should be in an Oakland jersey...kind of like seeing Willie Mays in a Mets jersey would just be wrong...I am sure I have just offended some on the boards, but I have a thick skin, so go ahead and flame away if you don't agree with me...

The Armpit of America: NEW JERSEY!
While this is good news, I feel that the "On The Rise" portion of the auto checklist is too weak, and needs to improve since the autos are what the product is focusing on. I would like to see Topps go after more of the top tier young players/rookies' autos, and omit those AAAA players they have on the checklist. Topps Inception Baseball, this is not.

-A Padres fan who likes Ozzie Smith.

Is this a "relic" checklist? If they're slicing a Henderson Yankee jersey, MLB wants them to use a photo of him in a Yankees uniform. I know that doesn't always happen, but could be what's going on here.

From what I've seen - "Like Inception" probably means a similar price point and configuration.

this is just another ploy by topps to try to sell a failing product. Do relics really excite anyone anymore? We know
their supply is almost endless, the bat cards of Cobb and Jackie look the same as the bat cards of guys who
play today. Topps has danced around the term relic for so long they might has well be putting in Ruth jerseys
that they bought at Kmart. The autographs are what people care about and topps has proven that the good
ones will be few and far between and of course there will be redemptions for may of them.

This hype gets old.

There are so many cards of these guys now that they're no longer interesting.

Topps should concentrate more of their time and effort on what's most important - *current* major league players.

cards of retired/hof players still drive this hobby much more than you give credit for

I agree with this completely. If I bought a case and my Tier 1 autograph was a Carlton Fisk or Prince Fielder or Evan Longoria... Autographs I'm sure will settle in the $20 - $30 range... I'd be pretty bummed. The checklist overall looks great to me. It has a lot of good names throughout. BUT... Topps will load this down with what will be $1 - $5 ebay autographs. I'm sure it will still do well because unknowledgeable collector's with money will jump all over a product like this. I will probably pick up many of the singles, but until Topps proves me wrong on overall value of the content with-in, I would have to stay far away from a product like this. I only wish they could prove me wrong.

You are right HOF'er do drive this hobby, but there are plenty of better past products that have those relics cards
in them AND a great ink checklist. If you ask me topps is just trying too hard, too many products that are half assed.
Lineage on top of ginter, topps better products have always been under 5 dollars a pack, this just looks weak. Topps
will announce a wrapper redemption (which they have already hinted at), which might drive sales a bit, but there
have been other products out this year with better HOF content in them.

Just another money grab by topps. No thanks.

With each card having the 6 color parallels.....Rickey would have like 70 different cards 8-)
