Topps Diamond Dig Questions

I'd really appreciate help with answers for these questions:
1. If you get the 45 rings for series 1 and get the complete set, is that just for series 1, or is it the whole set (1&2)?
2. With series 2 coming out, is Topps going to have a new series of DDC cards that can be unlocked?
