I have a 1956, like your two 1952s.
I am hoping for that Blake...but for my luck, it will be an error and will be replaced with a 1983 Tommie Herr.Halonut said:200lbhockeyplayer said:So Bill...what do you think these "Card Unavailable" cards are?

prize cards? that would be a nice turn of events![]()
Apparently this run was short-lived. Especially if Bill unloaded a bigger batch from his stash.rymflaherty said:DOH! :benson: Not so lucky. Saw the recent posts and tried another redemption. Got

Wait till the homepage shows a bunch of 50's cards...then redeem!
There are currently 91 "This Card Unavailable 1956" and a slew more of other years.200lbhockeyplayer said:I am hoping for that Blake...but for my luck, it will be an error and will be replaced with a 1983 Tommie Herr.Halonut said:200lbhockeyplayer said:So Bill...what do you think these "Card Unavailable" cards are?

That said...I highly doubt that there are this many "prize cards."
That's pretty entertaining that you have 8 different "this card unavailable" and doubles of one.Bill Menard said:Want a laugh... in my account now I have 9 of the 1956 "this card unavailable"... the laugh - one of them says I have 2 copies of it  Topps must know what the card is somewhere then. I mean if I have duplicates one of them, why not just tell people what the heck it is!

When prompted, manually key-stroke the code from your MCGC (“Code") beginning on 02/15/2010 at 12:00:01 a.m. ET and ending on 02/01/2011 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET. If the Code is accepted, a baseball card from among the 36,000 different base cards in the entire Topps baseball card collection (dating from 1952) will be randomly allocated to the inputted Code. The universe of base cards includes more than one (1) of certain cards as well as autographed cards, but EXCLUDES insert cards and other brands of baseball cards produced by Sponsor. A virtual image of the baseball card randomly allocated to your Code will be placed into your Account. One (1) baseball card per accepted Code. Receipt of baseball card subject to verification and compliance with Official Rules. If virtual image of baseball card cannot be placed into Account for any reason, baseball card will be forfeited.
Hope this doesn't mean those cards are lost
This is simply not true.Bill Menard said:[quote="A_Pharis":2ae3qw0u]200lbhockeyplayer said:[quote="A_Pharis":2ae3qw0u]notoriousrmb said:[quote="A_Pharis":2ae3qw0u]
They aren't random. I believe it's been said that the numbers are predetermined... otherwise EVERYONE would just wait until the "run is up."
Maybe the "runs" are predetermined but the numbers sure aren't...I see no way I can pull redemptions from a Target in Illinois, a Wal-Mart in Missouri, a hobby jumbo from Blowoutcards.com and a jumbo from a local hobby shop and have all the codes give back '79 and '80 cards. Looks as if this run is going on for everyone right now, so waiting for the run to be up seems like a logical choice.
What does the location have to do with the card redeemed? Despite where the card is pulled, the majority of cards are going to be from a certain era. I guarantee you that no matter how long you wait, you will get the same card then as you would now. Each code is tied to a card. Seriously -- if it were random and you thought the bulk of the "mass produced" cards would be the ones to go first then everyone would just wait.
He did see the trend shift and redeemed almost all 1950's cards because of it.lordsepic said:Yes but if the trend of those 2 years ends maybe that is where a good card pops up and unless you take a chance you may never get the between phase... this is possible right?
