I bought two blaster boxes over the weekend and got three of them:

1980 Hosken Powell #471
1988 George Brett #700
1989 Paul Molitor #110

2 out of 3 HOF'ers... not bad I guess.

If anyone has a bunch of commons they'd like to get rid of in return for a 1973 Expos team card, let me know. I'm running out of cards to trade for Astros.

Just got six more today, all '87s and '88s.

On that, I'm looking at getting the Harold Reynolds "portfolio", so if anyone's up for trading a Reynods, I'll be listing some trades out there.

I've been trying to do the same thing, but no one seems to want to trade any of his cards. Don't know if it's because they want them or if they don't know how to do the trading thing.

Nobody seems to want to trade anything so far, even for .50 cent commons. People see anything 60's and below and assume value.

I think the problem is that there is a "cool" factor to the older cards...most of which collectors of today probably haven't owned. Even commons.

That said, I don't understand the countless 1989 Roger Clemens offers for a 50s common.

Also, people don't seem to understand that you can offer multiple cards in a trade. Almost all of my completed trades have been multiple cards for one. Why? It's typically more equitable that way. I may not care about a '60 common, but that doesn't mean I'll take a '78 common even up for it. Or a "star" card from '87-'89 Topps - the most abundant of the cards.

Of note, I think I still have the only 1989 Randy Johnson rookie...which is crazy weird considering how plentiful '89s are.
