Topps Redemption Set..

you can add Don Sutton to the list. I had an American Pie Bret Michaels auto outstanding and they sent me a Don Sutton replacement from that "redemption set" numbered to 199.

The highest ending price Sutton redemption replacement i can find is $13 and I think Michaels being a rocker and reality star has to be at least $40 if I had auto in-hand.

I"ll be contacting topps, but it will be awhile because I"m aware of the month hiatus. I get the feeling the month downtime isn't to clean house and revise procedures, but to be able to concentrate on reaming customers with redemption set replacement cards.

I am just done redeeming redemptions. From now on they are getting sold when I pull them...let someone else play the waiting game.

I received the same Frank Robinson for my Joe Morgan Crowd Pleasers but mine was just the regular. I wasn't too thrilled with my replacement but would be furious if they sent me that for the gold /10.

another day, another replacement. My guy bluford A&G auto was replaced with a Gary Carter Redemption Set auto /199.

Considering what I paid for the Bluford redemption card and what the Carter recent sales are, this one seems like a reasonable replacment.

Happy to have a Gary Carter auto in the PC now, but I don't know how special that is to say right now because of Topps' perceived recent sticker binge on Carter autos.

Lessons learned - thank goodness I have no more Topps replacements coming, I'll be selling any pack-pulled redemptions because I now have no confidence Topps will ever redeem the card I pulled, and I won't be buying Topps redemptions online like I did for Bluford because chances are the card will be replaced and I won't end up with my cheap astronaut auto.

So it sounds like "Our redemption department is closed for a month" really means "We just made up these auto dump cards, so let's send out as many of these as possible over the next month, and not answer the phone when people call in to complain. By the time the month is up, people will have forgotten all about it."

I'm still waiting on a Bryce Harper from 2012 bowman chrome. Says pending still yet the cards have been live well over 2 months.

Topps just doesn't want to spend the money making these cards. It is easier to just make one set and slap stickers on them. On card sigs cost too much money. They know
collectors are weak and won't say anything.
