they start with 3/$45 adntell him to take it or leave it then come back with this crap. the skanks got themselves into this by overpaying ALL players for years and years. look at johnny damon last year, he wanted 13 millio na year or something like that. he tought he could get that from any other team after the yanks said no thanks. didnt work out too good for damon and it should have been the same for jeter. maybe they will cut him when last seson will look like an mvp year after the 2011 season. Jeter was great 5 years ago not today though

Great 5 years ago? He was great two years ago? What baseball have you been watching over the last 5 years. He had a down year last year, which wasstill a good year compared to almost every other shortstop in baseball.

The Yankees overpay for a mediocre at best shortstop. Maybe they won't be in the playoffs for the next 3 years.
