cant wait for the Heritage Value Boxes to come out. Last year they were fantastic.

Go ahead an open the conspiracy thread on those now...why actually wait? We "know" Topps will manipulate the market again.

As to the request for statistical analysis, unless you can get a large enough sample size and documented results, you are just pissing in the wind.

I, for one, think that they are statistically equal to the regular boxes and cases, its just that there is a disproportionate reporting of the hits on here. Who wants to read thread after thread of "I got base."

TBP - quoting you above was not meant to call you out...I was trying to mock those who ceaselessly talk about the Topps conspiracy theories. FWIW - I do recall seeing some really nice hits posted from those Heritage value boxes.

Outside of assumptions of how many good or bad boxes have been busted is the member here whom cracked 400ish of these. Using this sample size were this members results/odds better, worse, or similar to full hobby boxes/cases?
It seemed to me from his list of hits that he maybe did a little better than what 2 cases would have netted him.

It's also about hitting the right players too, not just hitting color.

He did waay better a super (auto'd or non auto'd statisticially doesn't even come up every 20 cases,) HE HIT 3 IN 400 VALUE BOXES, or 3 in LESS THAN 2 CASES!!

To further drive home the point

I personally opened 160 of these and hit the following:

1 orange auto (happened to be Lawrie) who was SSP in the set
1 gold auto (Happened to be Ackley) who was SSP in the set
1 Blue auto (average player)

this is in stark contrast to what my results were in 20 cases of Bowman chrome, They on average yield 1 color auto per case, albeit blue, gold, orange etc.

In my 20 cases I only hit the following for the SSP players:

1 Ackley base auto
1 Hosmer Base auto
1 Turner Base auto
1 Lawrie gold auto

(that't in not one other card of these players)

And (I apologize for redundancy here), in 20 cases I did not hit one non auto above a blue colored refractor, but in these 160 packs (again roughly 2/3 of a case) I hit 2 gold prospect refractors.

So I believe this helps us to understand the distribution a bit better by expanding the sample size.
Also remember he hit some colored auto's as well as the 3 superfractors.

Just thought I'd share...$14.99 on MLB.com. With $18.84 shipping on 20, total comes to $318.64 out the door and they are in stock. Official shop of Washington Nationals!!!

Most of the online dealers don't actually have them. ESPN shop has/had them up too for $14.99, someone I know placed an order and they didn't have any. I would call before tying up your CC.

Yeah, Topps don't even have them on their site.
I looked about an hour ago since I have a pair of $10 off coupons.

It says that they have 58 in stock. My guess would be the automated system keeps track of inventory because it won't let you order 59.

Topps 2011 Mega Box

At least my $11.00 wasn't a total waste.... You can barely see it, but it says 1/1

The Bowman Chrome pack yielded a gold Zach Britton #12/50. Too bad it has a bad corner....

Busted 20 Value boxes from BO. So far only opened the Bowman packs. Best cards were a Khris Davis auto and Keyvius Sampson Ref Auto.
