***If any hitting coach EVER said this to Texeira/Granderson as you and markakis have stated, they surely wouldn't last long in that position.
like i said, the hitting coach doesn't have a decision in the matter. it's not Kevin Long that is telling them to do it. It's the Yankees upper management and it's Long's job to teach them how to do it. Which is why Curtis Granderson's .230 average/40 HR season is such a "success" for Long in the media's eyes. it's also mainly LH hitters. Which is why they have such a short porch in right.
