They also already had the balls made for the Super Bowl, with a variation for each team combination.

Every year, they also print up "AFC/NFC Champs" and "Super Bowl Champs" shirts pre-printed. Whichever team doesn't actually win, the clothing is destroyed from what I understand, although I have heard they donate them too.

That's the case. I was working at Sports Authority here in Chicago during the super bowl and we had boxes of the stuff waiting to go right out if they won. They didn't so it was never opened and sent back.

The stuff gets sent to third world countries from what I've heard. That way it's not wasted and I think they turn it into a write-off since it becomes a donation. When I was younger I would always joke that there was some kid in Ethiopia or something that has a whole wardrobe of Bills Super Bowl champs gear.
