This ad appears in a 1994 Beckett promoting card stores.

Don't know if you can make it out but nearly the ENTIRE box/pack inventory in the background is junk wax from all the sports.

Funny how that stuff used to be hot and worthy of a large amount of prime space.

I had thousands of boxes of junk wax, sold them every week. When I liquidated, I had at least one 55 ft trailer full of junk wax. It sold well and kept me afloat when singles or supplies wasnt selling.

I was always resentful of Beckett for giving card shows free listing space while charging an arm and a leg for card shops to take out tiny ads. I smile now, not having spent a nickel with them in years since I stopped selling their rags.

Ok, seriously, has anyone ever seen a card shop owner dressed like that?

Or with that waistband?

Honestly the waist band, yes. The clothes? Hell no. Not that the clothes are bad. That's just not what you see when you walk into a card shop.
