My biggest 56 pickup I spent all day debating on this it was either this one or a 56 Jackie Robinson PSA 6 the scan shows which one I decided on.

Nice Hoyt!

as for the vintage slabs, i think they "grade lower" because the cards themselves have a history, or wear and
tear some might call it.

sure there are PSA9 vintages out there, but they dont have the history, and they are COSTLY!

as for the mays, with my pickups, i try to stay in the 5+ area, unless two things....1) really cheap pricing...
2) great eye appeal

the Mays has great centering, so i wound up paying $26 for it, not bad imo

Where have you been Brother?

In a deep dark dank hole that I have finally climbed out of......

Got a new job that pays more than my old. Was getting settled in a bit, and also new baby kinda puts the hobby on hold, but I am back...and will be buying my first cards since a year ago soon.

Re: OFFICIAL- Vintage Pickup Thread.

Had this beauty walk in this week along with 55 other '40 Play Ball's. 70 years raw in an old chest, unbelieveable...

I should have posted the T-3's I got last week, you guys would've like them. John McGraw was the marquee card, aside from some boxers.
