And why is Randall Simon playing for the Netherlands?



Something funny was said in the top of the 1st. One of the announcers said that Simon was the pop of the Netherlands lineup. If that's the case, I would normally laugh and feel sorry for the team, but DR seemed to be helping them out a ton that half inning.

if that wasn't supposed to be a dropped ball, it turned into a very smart play for the second baseman!!


for those who weren't watching. 1 out with runners on 1st and 2nd. batter hits line drive right over the head of the second baseman. he jumps up and looks like he catches the ball. runner on first dives back to 1st base and the ball gets dropped. second baseman picks up the ball and throws runner out at second and then ball is thrown to first for a double play!
